- X-COM: UFO Defense is a legendary game from the 90s, that created a whole genre of turn-based strategy goodness. It is undoubtedly one of the best strategies of all time, but does it still hold up in the year 2024? Tune in to find out what it's like to play this game in the modern era.
Never played this one but it seems super deep. Cool video.
The mechanics are very in-depth. There are a few games that still stand the test of time like Diablo 2 and X-COM. They are just a face lift away from being retro bangers:)
Good job! I think I love you too. Not a fan of recap type reviews but it was interesting to watch. I wanted to try this game out for quite a while, so maybe it is time to give it a shot.
My personal retro banger is the original System Shock even though I didn't play it during its release.
Thanks for watching! I never played the original system shock, but I remember being terrified of system shock 2. It was so creepy and unsettling as a kid. Maybe that is a game I'll try out at some point.
You need to do a retro banger video on Star Control II. However, make sure you use the amazingly free on steam updated release
" Free Stars: The Ur-Quan Masters "
I will do that for you 😜♥️ I always planned to play start control 3, instead I'll play 2, then follow with 3, since all the star control purist say it's better.
Well looks like I know a thing to find.
This was dope af
Thank you so much! Glad people enjoy my less known videos! I love x-com.
If there's one thing xcom does it's churn your body count into insanity.
Xcom files when? Lol jk, that would be a year long series.
I will make a video on xcom 2 eventually! Terror from the deep is coming.
You lived through the soviet union?
Well, I was still a kid when it collapsed, but yes. I was born in 85 and moved to the US at 16. A very unique experience nonetheless.
@@Oscillascapeholy shit well a fact of you that's neet.
