Great pattern. I tie quite a few of my terrestrials with foam. (I use a bit of super glue on my tread base to keep the foam from spinning on the shank.) Thanks for sharing Mr O'Neal.

Simple and effective fly. Tie it in black and you have a beetle; in olive, with a pearl crystal flash wing, a Japanese beetle. Tie it on a 3X long hook, a hopper. Thanks,Matt.

Thank you Matt! Lots of Hoppers jumping around here..should work great! Catching good largemouth lately on small green or yellow poppers. I’ve been really busy working lately since knee is back in shape. Appreciate your channel friend. Happy Mother’s Day to your wife and moms in your family.💐 Best wishes! 👍👍🎣👌

Playing catch up, again. Nice bug. I was staring at my block of multi color foam the other day, too! Thank you for the timely fly!

A little late to the show, but I think this would be a good imitation of our desert locusts. They're on the smaller side and the coloring is close. Definitely gonna tie a few and give them a go. Thanks Matt!

That looks perfect for a hopper dropper rig for small streams. Gonna have to do a few for my box. Nice tie Matt!

Nice and easy. It would be good at this size in black as a cricket in streams and ponds. I would definitely tie the foam in over thread wraps with a bit of dubbing and superglue though. Otherwise, I think the foam would start spinning around the hook after the first good hit, especially with only a few thread wraps holding the foam in place.

Good morning Sir. Thank you for sharing another new pattern with us. Greatly appreciated. Pretty simple looking tie. But sure it will be more than effective. Change up the colors, fill a small box and head for the water. Congratulations to the winners, very nice gift you have provided. Have a great day my friend. Let’s remember to give thanks to all of the Mothers out there today.

I must have Thomas! I couldn't find anywhere else that has them in stock today. Hopefully there's not a shortage of these birds. The ringneck, the other cheap option, is all over the place. Lady Amhersts are out there, but they're a bit more expensive. Still pretty cool looking though. :-)

I managed to find a golden pheasant skin at The Classic Fly Fisherman, Robert Selb's shop in Lansdale, PA, last week. Also picked up a Lady Amherst skin as well. Got a good deal on both. Nice shop. Lots of classic rods and reels.
