It always shocks me how loud the turbo's whistle is! You would think the military would quiet it down some so the enemy wouldn't notice it so much! My wife and I have 4 trucks. An M37, two Unimog FLU-419'S and a Stewart and Stevenson M1083 6x6. LOL, and in my opinion, they ALL get stuck WAY TOO EASY!!!
That was expected, lol. NDT tires suck big time in the winter. They only work good with chains and taking chains on and off isn't usually feesible either. Running the 395 Michelin XZL tires on my deuce, it handles mud, sand, and snow way way better than NDT's. It's an expensive upgrade but worth it imo. While the deuce is a very capable truck, if you wanted to keep the deuce rims and keep a specific budget, G177 Goodyear tires are a great upgrade over the NDT's. Not sure where abouts you live, but looks like y'all get a lot of snow so good tires would be a worthy investment. Living in Michigan, I knew after the first winter, those NDT's had to go! Lol Also, if you do a decent amount of winter driving with the deuce, I'm sure you realize how much it lacks in the lighting. The stock lights aren't very bright and are up high from the road. Makes it hard to drive in rain storms, winter storms, ect at night. I added some LED amber lights to the front bumper I found on Amazon for $40. Wow what a difference, brighter than the stock lights and when angled correctly, I can see the road better and further away. If you're interested, I'd leave a link for ya. I'm also on Steel Soldiers so if you ever wanted to see some pictures, I'd share it so you can find it.
Next time get a better run at it. Back up, start in 2nd or 3rd high and floor it! Creeping a 12k lb rig through deep snow with those tires just ain't gonna work. Bad ass truck though man! There's one for sale locally I've been eye balling. If I had somewhere to park it I'd buy it!
chains would have helped as well. i was just curious to see what the NDTs are capable of. i will look into that for sure. are the tools on amazon? or somewhere like big mikes? thanks
I’m guessing you’ve never driven one before. They get stuck. Especially when it’s ice and snow and no chains on the tires. That video was done intentionally to get the truck stuck.
If it was fresh it mightve . The tires aren't it for that. I could see u walking across it u kinda stayed on top to a degree. I has some freezing to it.
There was a little crust on top. It was well below zero. Everything between the crust and the ice on the ground was sugar snow. It was a no-win battle but it was fun to try out
Is that your big rig? How cool is that!! That had to be so much fun driving that in the snow!! 💙❄️💙
I use it to move logs for my business

I would love a unimog

I rarely use it in winter. Would love to upgrade just can’t afford it at the moment. Thanks for watching and the information

Take those NDTs and sipe and groove them. Cheap to do. Tools are around $80.

@@DWsAnimalRescue Yes the ones on Amazon are fine, or Ebay.
@@urgentcareguy3 thank you sir

Thank you. its been a great truck.
@@DWsAnimalRescue no excuses for being snowed in lol. At some point you have to say, nah, I better just stay here though. 👍🇺🇸

Who won?
The snow

u should be embarassed showing us tearing up that truck. Put some chains on it. Just a matter of time before it was stuck
There was absolutely no tearing up of the truck. That was an example of what a deuce will not do without chains
