Norwegian Fjords CRUISE - P&O Iona - Stavanger and Olden - Part 1

- Norwegian Fjords Cruise onboard P&O Iona. We couldn’t resist a last minute bucket list cruise to Norway and we hope you can’t resist coming along on this adventure with us.
We set off from Southampton Cruise Terminal and after a day at sea we arrive at Stavanger in the beautiful sunshine. We have a lovely day exploring on scooter and by foot. The following day we are in Olden but unfortunately even though we got up very early we didn’t see the sunrise and it was very cold but once in port we were off and made our way to the Loen Skylift for some fun in the snow.
This is part one of our adventure so join us next week for part 2 when we visit Alesund and HAUGESUND.

Love the video! Looks like you had a great time. We have been in Stavanger in may 2016 and the streets were full of local people for a local festifitie. All in traditional costumes, singing and dancing on music of fanfares, lots of school children of all ages. It was a happy day. The skylift looked amazing! All that snow made it even better, more of an adventure. I don't think i would have the courage to do it. The walk you took was long (in my opinion😁) but seemed to be with amazing views. We love the fjords and have to wait 102 days before we go back in august. Looking forward to see the next part of this bucket list adventure.
Hi Trees, we had a fab time 🤩 Can't believe two weeks have gone by already!! I bet seeing that in Stavanger must have been a fabulous sight! It was a very nice place and we met a local in a cafe and she was so lovely and told us about the Colourful Street and even took us there so we didn't miss seeing it ☺️ Olden was completely different and I had my doubts about doing the Skylift as I knew there wouldn't be a view but it was amazing to see all that snow ❄️ You have to do it as you may have a clear day and the views would be AMAZING 🤩 It was a nice walk back but appreciate it wouldn't work for everyone 😊 102 days will fly by honestly! 18 days til our next one - so excited 😆 Thank you for watching, have a great week - Amanda & Mark 😍
So enjoy watching your vlogs. Just wish they were longer...lol. You two are such fun. Norway is on our bucket list but we're doing the Med next year. Look forward to the next instalment x
Hi Kevin, thank you so much you made our day 😍 It’s surprising how quickly 30 minutes fly by!! We’ve always tried to keep them to around 20 minutes but sometimes thats just not enough - we feel like we’re leaving so much out so thank you for saying that! How fabulous, where are you going in the Med and is that with P&O? We are doing the med in November with MSC (it’s a family cruise so watch out lol!!). @@AdventureswithAmandaandMark You're so welcome. I wouldn't worry about longer vlogs. People can always watch them bit by bit. I see some vloggers make it an hour long and I love it. Yes, We'll be on P&O's Arvia next May. La Coruna, Palma, La Spezia, Toulon, Barcelona and Cadiz. Can't wait. I'd like to try MSC one day x
@@ArnieRelffe-Arnold Maybe we’ll make a longer one on our next cruise 😍 Ooh nice, our daughter is going on Arvia in October and although its similar to Iona it has a lot of other stuff and she’s just found out it has an Escape room 😂 Sounds like a lovely Itinerary, we would like to go to La Spezia one day ☺

Great opportunity for me to see where I’m going in early June on a princess cruise 28 days to Norway and out to Finland Sweden etc.. I live in Australia so it will be a 24 hr flight to London .. will be so different for me .. hope to meet some lovely British people like you two on my cruise ship sky princess .. Hi Lois 👋🏻 That sounds amazing 🤩 We're on our first cruise with Princess in June as well going to Finland, Sweden etc as well but only to Kristiansand in Norway 🇳🇴 We're very excited as it's a big birthday cruise that we booked over a year ago!! You'll have a fabulous time, we've heard good things about Princess, especially the food 😋 Going to see the glacier will make your long flight worth it and hopefully you'll have a clear day for the Skylift as well!! Nice video guys. Both port stops looked great. Stavanger looked so bright and vibrant and then snow. Debs not sure about the cable cars though 😂
Thank you 🤩 They were so different weren’t they?! Stavanger was quite a big town and we had such a beautiful day and then Olden was so small and quiet and a totally different day weather wise! Didn’t realise Deb’s wasn’t keen on cable cars 😂 We love them but we missed filming the return journey as there was quite a drop!! Thank you as always for you support 🥰

Hi 👋🏻 We went on the 20th April this year and it was after the Easter holidays and everything was open. These stops are at quite small places and I'm guessing when a massive cruise ship comes in it makes good sense to be open - although saying that we went to Hamburg on another cruise lines on a Sunday and it didn't feel like much was open at all! @@tuckera303 Oh wow, love hearing from first time cruisers! You will love everything about it! Just do you, don’t feel under pressure to get dressed up if thats not your thing but if it is go for it - we love formal nights! We loved going to the sweet shop and then the cinema on Iona and The Quays was really good for food and the Keel & Cow of course and we loved all the ports, even though the weather wasn’t the best but obviously would highly recommend the Loen Skylift in Olden and fingers crossed the weather will be amazing - as we said it was the week before and it actually was the week after 🤣

Ooh very exciting!! You will have an amazing time, it's such a beautiful place, just take a mix of clothes as we think the weather is as unpredictable as it is here!! Enjoy ☺️
