A helpful tip to make transferring chopped ingredients easier on you, instead of grabbing all the chopped vegetables batch by batch to place on another board, just slide it all to the other board. That way its less of a hassle and gets things done quicker for you.

That looks absolutely good, i make something like that, i put my ricevon the bottom, than put chicken on top put together any liguid you want i do now, golden mustoom soup 1 can, can water, ginger ale and mix put on top of chicken and rice put dry onion mushroom mix springlr on top covrr with aluminum paprr bake 350 for about 1 hour and a half, its desilious, but this really looks better, .I WILL TRY IT.

Amazing, this rice and chicken dish I am making already for years but with additional spices (slightly sharp!) and chickpeas or mung beans. And also sometimes in a heavy iron pot on the gas. Hello GRH, if you never tried chickpeas, this is the time to start using them !! You can either buy the raw ones(needs a pressure cooker) or the precooked, frozen ones which I prefer. I sautee them together with the onions, garlic and ginger + sambal (similar to harissa). After that I throw in the rice and mix everything well so the rice becomes nice yellow from the curry and the turmeric. Oh yes, if you don't like the chickpeas, you can use also green peas, mung beans, lentils or cranberry. Good luck and greetings from the Middle East ! 🍲🥘🥄🍴🥢
Thank you for sharing this . I just pulled this out the oven and oh my it look so good and had the house smelling so good. My mixture was a little too watery so after adding the rice before adding the chicken back in I put it back in the oven and the rice soaked in the juices

I made this for dinner a few hours ago and it was a hit! I did tweak a little bit tho. I used 8 chicken thighs and took skin off of three thighs,and added red pepper. Yummy dish! My family loved it! Thank you!
I was surprised that you didn't brown the chicken thighs on the stove top first? But then I see that it wasn't necessary, as it browned beautifully in the oven!😉 Looks very easy to prepare and a very satistisying meal!😊
Looks delicious but I would probably bake the chicken thighs, on both sides, a bit longer than recommended here. I've found, throughout the years, that some folks don't bake poultry as long as they probably should. I've followed baking times listed in recipes and have often found that the food is not cooked as thoroughly as I'd like. I like my steaks rare/medium rare, not my chicken
She did say, at the first part of cooking the thighs, to bake them at 200°C for 40 minutes, then she took them out while the rice was cooking, and turned then over, and baked them another 10 minutes or so, same time as the rice I believe. So that's 50 minutes total, a decent amount for what looked like a medium to smallish sized thighs to me. I could be completely wrong of course. But 200°C translates to about 385°F and they are submerged, so I'm thinking it's a decent amount of time for them to be thoroughly cooked.

I was thinking she was going to, but I think her rice, pan sauce and chicken were still very hot as she had just taken it out of the oven. I believe she placed the chicken back on top for serving and presentation purposes.

I thought that just putting the rice is the sauce was not a good idea without returning the pan to the oven to finish cooking the rice. That rice is not done.

Could you add the uncooked rice to the vegetable/tomato base to the pan (prior to cooking) and turn it into a one-pan, Chicken & Rice bake?
