I take it you aren’t subscribed to his new RUclips channel then lol😂 “Steve Berry’s Big in the 90’s” as he takes a light hearted look at cars from that era. I actually really enjoy it 👍 He’s way better as himself unedited outwith BBC presenter etiquette of a by-gone age, give it a look
This is peak top gear. In between the era of william wooden woolard. Weird beard ageless lizard noel edmonds and chris goffey’s natty jumpers. This 93-96 was clarkson coming into his own. Regardless of what you make of him he was going on to greater things. The last two series of “old” top gear had that brummie with glasses, kate humble and tiff as the main. Think even the unique count quentula had gone by the very last series in 2000. Certain screamer VBH also there to titilate middle aged men too.
Love classic Clarkson. Thanks for posting & a question, I have loads of old video tapes of late 80s & 90s tv shows & would like to put on YT (once I learn how to do it). & am wondering have you ever ran into copyright issues re your uploads. there is music, comedy & all sorts on the tapes that people might enjoy. Cheers
'stealth tornado'? - can't imagine a 450hp motor is all that quiet, nor have a great turning circle, but it probably has a devastating effect on the environment so i guess it was well-named.
JC praises the refinement; the turning circle will be identical to that of the production Jaguar that it's based on; so few of these were made that any environmental effect would be negligible.
@@Kiinell I suppose that was before I started clubbing, but when I used to go clubbing in the early-mid 2000s jeans were accepted, well the clubs and bars I would go to in my town anyway. I know trainers were a flat refusal and still are, but never had a problem with jeans. Obviously the rules have changed.
Yeah. Jeans used to be synonymous with being a bit of a troublesome lout (at least when on a guy); sometimes still holds true but they're a lot more upmarket fare these days. (at least; the ones not full of fake paint stains and pre-ripped fabric, which even as a kid in the '90's I thought were daft)
@@jimtaylor294 Yeah I think wearing jeans became synonymous with James Dean, well that's what I think was why jeans became fashionable. Yeah I hate ripped jeans but don't mean the faded jeans.
I think his humour and lines were far funnier in the old series than with Hammond and May, the latter I was certainly not a fan of it, it wasn't a motoring series to me just 3 blokes pratting about and everyone obsessed with the Stig, cars that noone could afford.
Ok but 90s sports bikes are top tier for looks
Definitely 🤔
Family member had a Ducati (some derivative of the 916). Always enjoyed hearing her starting up and revving 😂 .
God, Steve Berry is hard to stomach.
Yup. Some would call him *A Turd in a Suit* 😂
I think Jeremy just makes everyone look inadequate.
I Know the feeling.🦊🚬
Stop eating him then you freak

This isn't old Top Gear. This is just Top Gear.
Nah; tis Older Top Gear 😂

BBC2 Continuity On Thursday 14th November 1996.
Look at the lad culture. They all looked to be enjoying themselves. And not only the lads.
"Kicking back with your knees in the breeze... or the sleet"
The guy's a bellend, but that's a great motto for being a Biker in Britain 😂

Depends if you're in the US. Americans police their content very thoroughly, the Europeans not so much so, so old UK TV for example would be fine
@@Psycandy appreciate the reply & it is old UK tv recordings. time to dust off the VCR so.
IN THE WORLD

Eeh. The fact that the full name references three separate Jet Fighters shows pretty well that those behind the car had quite the sense of humour 😂

Steve Berry makes my teeth itch
That R080 is a stretch Austin Maxi!
Why don’t all cars have power steering buttons?
Why indeed. Flappy Pedals are no fun at all.
Jeremy is like Marmite, isn't he? I like them both!
NSU is nice, but Citroen, years ahead
Dunno where Clarkson went clubbing, but I have never been to a nightclub where the bouncer didn't like you wearing jeans.
Back in the 90's you were turned away from most places wearing jeans. You also had to wear a collar and trainers were a flat refusal.

nope, you wans't allowed in wearing jeans back then, or pumps
The noises the Jag TWR does when opening/closing the hood and door say a lot about low construction standards...
Nah. Tis what lightweight materials sound like. That's why luxury cars are quite the opposite; heavy, wafty and slow.
Quentin must be wearing beer goggles on this one. Bloody ugly car.
Don’t get it at all. The things hideous and looks so dated.
Quentin's diatribe is rather well known for takes that age like milk 😂
It’s a 1965 car that looks like a 1975 car
Clarksons presentation srtyle hasnt dated well.
In fact it's downright cringeful.

@@Embracing01 perhaps so and I agree about prattling about plus unaffordable cars. Stig bla de bla
Anhedonic much? 😂
I imagine Clarkson reading out your sentence in his way, with the pause and emphasis on the second part.
literally the same.
