The boy done good.......... Like a lot of his old school chums, who also went on to enjoy success........ The Prime Minister, for example, I believe he attended the same school, as did numerous future PM's before him.......
It must be the teaching staff, I'm a recovering teacher, which might explain my leaning towards that possibility, it might???? Something has to account for the consistent production of 'winners' that have throughout this school's history, been churned out almost as if they were being machine-pressed, or turned on a lathe, instead of simply being subject to superior teaching methodology, one theory. Clearly it's an environment that lends itself to learning +, famously, is a multi-cultural space. Students from the Middle-East, particularly oil producing nations, are not uncommon, Arab royalty, heads of state, all send their offspring to this school where the most likely to succeed is a very tough call........
You've no doubt heard of it.......... Eton, the quintessential school for rich, posh kids.
One thing that many British people don't like is rich, posh people........ If that's a lie then I'm Little Lord Fauntleroy!

The middle class are what they themselves would like to be, how can you dislike someone when you want nothing more than to be what they are......... You don't like rich people but dream of being rich.........

Privileged elitism, the sort that goes with an Eton School tie is another issue all together + Damian Lewis is a great actor, which has nothing to do with his going to Eton............ BoJo being PM, however, is another story all together, one I don't want to talk about, it's there to be spoken of, though, if anyone did ever want to....................

The looong comments I write that so often are victim to a completely false + inaccurate perception.
The 'epic comment' you mentioned, I'm willing to bet, irresponsibly if need be, your house, for example, I'd gladly throw that on the table! I'd lay those big bucks on your not knowing this supposed 'epic', 370 words, is less than a 1 minute read for a lot of people, myself included, who all read 400+ words a minute. There are loads of reading speed test sites on the web + you most likely read faster than you imagined. What looks like a hefty chunk of text is often wildly overestimated in terms of how long people imagine it'll take to read it. So, no more going on about less than a minute's read
as though it were War + Peace........ not that you did, people in general......

Never understood why US TV (and films) need actors like Damian Lewis and Hugh Laurie and Idris Elba etc. to come over there to play Americans. Aren't there talented, actual American actors with natural accents available? I suspect there are many...
