But there are a few pictures of Chandler(Carl) and Katelyn(Enid) have been spotting filming a scene, Enid has a backpack and Carl obviously has the bandage and the hat. And they said that the Carl and Negan bond from the comics will be 'brief' and it might be shared with another person, so maybe Enid and Carl will share that role in the comics. In the comics it's originally Carl who goes after Negan after killing Glenn for revenge, he ends up killing a lot of Negan's men with a huge assault rifle thats like 5 times his size, so maybe Carl will share that story line with Enid, and Carl's storyline in the comics after the whole Eeny Meenie Miny Moe thing is really really important to the storyline, and it's actually pretty funny too, so if he shares that with Enid that'll be really hilarious to watch because in the comics it's literally the funniest thing I've ever seen so far in the comic books. So those sightings kind of confirm that Carl doesn't get the bat but you know.
What comes next? Loads of aimless talking, debates framed to sound philosophical, occasional zombie outbreak, characters who are normally intelligent are written to make stupid decisions and die and then a few good episodes here and there. At least the acting on Dean-Morgan's part will be show-stealing though.

The only logical choice really is the character that dies in the comics....
