That requires removing the roof and windshield, plus the front fender and possibly the dash. You will also disrupt the door mounting points. A LOT of extra work! Sectioning the side panel is perfectly fine and allowed by all car manufacturers. Car is good as new if done correctly.
I don't know if you guys noticed it but the quarter panel that you welded doesn't align with the trunk lid properly. One can notice this by looking at the taillight. Too obvious when the undamaged side is perfect and the repaired a bit off. Maybe the trunk lid needs a little bit of adjustment.
Amazing video it was very informative. I'm interested in getting into the auto collision industry and I guess Shop Helper is the entry level position, would you say that's accurate?
Nice video but the last shots of the car were unwatchable with the black outfade. Consider making the shots longer with black outfade or just no outfade :D
omar wahba yes the door got smashed really bad, and quarter got damaged pretty bad by the door, it’s going through insurance and by insurance quotes you have to replace it... can we save the quarter panel? Yes, but it would require lots of bondo, would you want your new 2017 Maserati covered in bondo?

Was this a total out car from auction or an insurance repair? I really want a GranTurismo! If a total, how much was the entire cost, car + repair?

Why cut the quarter panel? You had the entire piece, wouldn't it have been easier to remove/replace the entire panel instead of cut/weld/grind/bondo?
That requires removing the roof and windshield, plus the front fender and possibly the dash. You will also disrupt the door mounting points. A LOT of extra work!
