Another lesson learned here is do not let an inexperienced driver take the wheel of a mid engine car. They dont behave like your typical fwd automatic civic.
Or rather, do not let an immature inexperienced driver take the wheel of a mid engined car. If an inexperienced driver drives a midengined car like a Grandma, there's no problem. Just recently bought an MR2 myself and I take it veerrrry easy because there's certainly a learning curve and I've heard people say the car does its own thing if you push it.
@@bastion8800 the mr2 are even more prone to lift off oversteer so yeah you are right but maturity also comes sometime with experience. Some inexperienced drivers will think all cars drives the same.Sw2 mr2?
any car can have lift off oversteer. They are even worse drivers because they crashed such a capable car
Lol doesn't matter if the person is inexperienced or experienced. Shit happens to everyone.
@@alpe6228 Caymans rotate like crazy (short wheelbase, weight over the rear), whomever this was overcorrected the steering, and then the idiot hit the gas mid-slide. Anyone who has ever driven a car remotely fast would know that you want to feather the brake and give like 1-2 degrees of countersteer. Couple this with the fact that this car wasn't even beginning to stretch its legs at this speed, and it becomes obviously preventable and unfortunate.
Explanation: Lift-off oversteer is a form of oversteer in automobiles that occurs while cornering when closing the throttle causes a deceleration, causing the vertical load on the tires to shift from the rear to the front, in a process called load transfer. This decrease in vertical load on the rear tires causes a decrease in the lateral force they generate, so that their lateral acceleration (into the corner) is also decreased. This causes the vehicle to steer more tightly into the turn, hence oversteering. In other words, easing off the accelerator can cause the rear tires to lose traction, with the potential for the car to leave the road tail first.
Aka some Porsche shit
that was an awesome explanation! would fwd or awd ever have this problem? like in rally i think they brake to front load for low traction cornering while throttling. thanks!

The whole concept of driving someone else’s car to me is that you take better care of it than your own car. I’ve driven friends Mustangs, Miata’s, Vettes, Civics, and even a Terminator cobra but I drove them shits like a grandma regardless of how confident I am in my abilities, all of my cars are powerful and fast (minus my corolla) and it’s always been an unspoken rule of mine that you do not hoon a friends car. A lot of my friends have tried to egg me on to drive like I do in my cars in their cars and the problem with that is yeah while I am a skilled driver there’s been times where I’ve had close calls in my own shit, last thing I want to have happen is one of those close calls become a crash and total a friends car and quite possibly kill them depending on the speed and severity of the crash with the maneuvers I could be doing. Anything can go wrong at any second, that’s why the best way to not wreck your friend’s car is by remembering it is your friend’s car and not yours.
Well, that's what YOU think about other people's possessions, and I'd tend to agree. Sadly, there's a shitload of people who just never learned to have respect for other people's belongings let alone their own, so when they get their hands on your steering wheel it's a perfect opportunity to do all that stupid crap they probably wouldn't do to their own car for fear of something like this happening. Oh also, you can almost guarantee that when somebody like that breaks something of yours they either won't have the money to pay you back OR they'll say sorry a bunch and then disappear.
Yeah, I agree. Like, I let my close friend drive my clapped out Camry once he got his driving privileges back, and man, sometimes I felt like I’d have to send my car to therapy by the time he was done. I told him “I learned my lesson by blowing a high mileage engine, so unless you’re buying and swapping the next one, don’t be so hard on it.” He did ease up on it, but yeah, I’m a lot more hesitant now.
Dude is naturally hard on stuff, and as a result his things break more often. Not having that happen to my baby again.

I think the problem ends up stemming from people forgetting just how familiar they are with their own car when driving someone else's. It takes a long time of slowly nudging the limits of the car to go from being able to drive it to actually knowing how to drive it. The part that causes trouble is that that knowledge barely transfers even to other cars in the same model ranges. You have to learn how THAT car's quirks are built into it first, even if it was shipped built "the exact same way". It takes time and care to actually be able to drive a car, and sometimes people forget that, especially in the excitement of driving something new.

Glad everyone’s okay, he should’ve just took right lane but hesitated
He oversteers on that takeoff then can’t gain back control really dumb to do something like that in your close friends car
Or just drive like a person who can die why does this generation wanna die like paul walker so bad it’s so lame
Facts should’ve stayed inside the corner at that speed. Glad everyone is good tho.🙏🏾
I’m pretty sure it’s a chick if u listen you’ll hear her clearly
@@joshsmith2771 I thought it was a passenger at first but now that you mention it in the description he said it was someone extremely close to him so imagine it was his girl or sister lmao
Glad everyone’s okay… but on a more lighter n funnier note. Her scream is SENDIN ME no cap 😭😭😭🤌🏽
Late to the party, but having watched it a few times now, it comes down to others not being familiar with how the car handles, speeds up, slows down etc. Looks like right before it spun they had understeer and then as you pointed out, over corrected after realizing they were going too fast to cost it. Good thing all is well.
"they"? It was clearly a woman
Now you know how parents feel when they let their children get behind the wheel for the first time without supervision 😂
You can hear the final feather of gas that fully caused the rear end to slip. I could also be wrong but it seems like it comes down to unskilled driving. Goes to split left on a fairly sharp right curve. Glad everyone’s okay but damn that driving is dangerous
Could tell this wasn’t really him by the cuts
Given the speed, that was a pretty tame crash. Hope everyone was okay
Damn bro rip to the Porsche (guessing off the gear shifts being damn near instant and the way the headlights looks. Total disrespect on her behalf for driving above her level and wrecking ur shit like that. Even worse that she backed it up in the shoulder. Can wait to see what you pick up next
981????
@@ReDz_F36 dude I post all my car knowledge to the test here. Forget chassis codes 😂😂. Ik it’s a Porsche just don’t know which one do
@@BC_CARS his name is wheres981 bro its a porsche 981 lmfaoooo
@@jeffreysmusic r/woosh moment 🤣🤣
Glad everyone is okay, fingers crossed the car is repairable but if not, looking forward to the future
Text book lift off oversteer?
More like text book lack of skill and overconfidence.
... Which lead to not committing on the throttle.. Hence lift off oversteer
Right lane was wide open 😢
I’m pissed for you. I don’t own that car but to see how they managed to do that infuriates me. Why did he even go left? There was a right turning curve ahead all he had to do was stay right.
@Arrowgu4 I assumed she was the passenger but I wouldn’t be surprised they drive like a girl lmao
@Arrowgu4 I think that was the passenger, but the most annoying part about that is the screaming...
It’s he or woman lol 😂
Sad situation dawg. Rip Corolla. You have any idea what you're going to do with it after this?
You almost caused several accidents. Justice was served. This is so satisfying!
Wasn’t him driving
never read a single yt title
NPC
@@anaccount7923 I know that. Still it's a bit moronic that he says in the description "there's no replacement for life" but in all his videos all he does it endanger the lives of the innocent public.
@@ricky7973 i agree
Ironically enough, she wasn't the first to end up there, seeing the cross at 0:27
Ayoooo
Driving somebody else's car, or somebody driving your car in reasonable fashion: ✅
Pushing a car you've never driven before and isn't yours: ❌
As a biker that choppy throttle gave me anxiety
That scream was straight up annoying
scream was worse than the crash itself lmao
That scream definitely saved everyone on the road. Thank God that chick screamed!
I wonder if there are any cops who’ve watched this channel. Now that an accident was reported (or maybe it wasn’t) will they arrest him for reckless driving?
Bro asking the tough questions.
I think the crash is enough punishment
I always wondered how the person who was cutting up would feel when they do some dumb shit especially like this 🤣
This was an inexperienced driver trying to imitate a more experienced driver. This is always the result. Don't try to be something your not especially when it's high risk.
Very... very shitty. I crashed my first ever car like this after babying it and taking care of it for half a decade. Was cutting at only 85 on the interstate but cars were crawling that day. Merged lanes, saw a car coming up on my outside, panicked, jerked the wheel, same result as this. (although I managed to regain control after smashing my rear end on the guard rail so small victories. No difference than if I had thrown it into the ditch though. Still totaled).
Sitting on the side of the road, dreading calling insurance, knowing you fucked up being stupid and had nobody else to blame but yourself. Yeah. Not a pleasent feeling. That slowed me down a lot.
Probably a good thing I crashed a car at my own fault before I got a fast car, because I would have been a maniac in my new car had I not been humbled first.
nooo fucking wayyy man, hope the car isnt totaled :(
but thank god nobody got injured, be safe
smacked that ass at 100 mph I think its probably done
Ah the good ol’ “my friend was driving “ excuse lol
Glad everyone was okay. It's fascinating for me to see how people sometimes react to situations like this when they panic, like in this case not hitting the brakes, or when someone accidentally hits the wrong pedal and accelerates into a building only to shift it in reverse while still on the gas pedal and crash again.
You can't brake out of oversteer, it's lifting that gets you there to start with. Further upsetting the car is not the answer.
This is the reason i'm really paranoid when it comes to driving other's cars. The paranoia comes from the conscience of responsibility for the damages caused, if caused... Especially if I drive a 3x+ more expensive car than what I have.
