Hello. This time, I have prepared Rachmaninoff's Elegie. It is one of Rachmaninoff's early works, offering a beautiful and.. melancholic musical experience. Recently, some subscribers have requested playlists. I have created various playlists, which can be found by going to the “Home” tab of my channel, below “Popular Videos” and “Videos” sections. Please feel free to use them if needed. Thank you so much! Have a nice day!
Rachmaninoff is my favorite composer and most youtubers don't really play the unappreciated or underrated pieces which he worked very hard on too, since they get overshadowed by the preludes, sonatas, concertos. I am glad you posted this, thanks Kassia!
Well, tbf this piece is one of his most popular and famous works. I feel what you're saying and stand by your statement, it simply feels a little bit off refering to his elegie. Tha being said, I would also love to hear many other Rach pieces, I personally fell in love with many of his early works.
I do think that this elegie is one of the popular works of Rach, but Rach was just wayy to good with the concertos and sonatas, so when you kind of, think of Rachmaninoff you only mostly get the idea of the man who wrote some of the best concertos. So in a way yes elegie does get overshadowed. I have listened to almost all of Rachmaninoff's works and I think they are absolutely phenomenal, I still think that this piece is a bit underrated..
You mind recommending other pieces? Im just getting into classic music and love to expand my horizon also other componist with this sort of melachonic vibe would be much appreciated
@@MrAznDream Rachmaninoff is my favorite composer! I would recommend his prelude in B minor (op. 32 no. 10), Symphony no. 2 (op 27), both piano trios (g minor and op. 9), his symphonic poem Isle of the Dead (op. 29) and Variations on a Theme of Chopin (op. 22). These are all a little less mainstream and have a melancholic vibe. His piano concerto no. 2 and no. 3 are also beautiful, but definitely more mainstream.
First time commenting on your channel Kassia...but I feel like...your channel has helped me a lot to improve my piano skills and further listen to western classical music...I currently have a 63 key keyboard...but I'll try to buy a real piano soon...Thank you so much...So much support from India🎉😊
You demonstrated all your skill and professionalism so that I had the opportunity to listen to the most beautiful cover of this magical music. Thank you Kassia 👍👏🌹🌹🌹💕.
Often the underlying subtle emotions of a Rachmaninoff piece get buried beneath the technical fireworks, but simply put, this is an exceptional performance of finesse and gripping anticipation. Beautiful and rewarding to listen to.
No matter what you play, you do so beautifully. My love for classical music has recently been reignited as an adult, thanks to the works of Rachmaninov. So grateful for all your amazing recordings, Kassia. Thank you
Thanks for reminding me of this little gem by Rachmaninov For who doesn't hasn't already, I also really suggest listening to his Trio élégiaque no. 1 and. 2 :)
Hi Kassia. If l hadn't have seen the title , for the first 2 minutes l thought it to be Chopin. He can be very melancholic and that's when he plays at his most sublime. It goes without saying that all composers are inspired by others from time to time . This is indeed a beautiful piece . Thankyou 💖
omg my fav rach piece!! ty for uploading this kassia, beautiful like always and now i can use this to help my interpretation :D you play delicate parts so gorgeously, maybe you could check out nocturne 27 no 1? i think your way of playing would make it extremely beautiful
i love your style of playing, always have always will 😍😍 i have a request from a cousin of mine... he has cancer and really wishes for you to play Liszt's hungarian rhapsody no 6 and he would love it if you considered it ❤️
@@Kassiapiano have you tried prelude op 3 no 2 (by Rachmaninoff) ? hearing your interpretation would be a blessing. i love your playing (and I think we all do)
I've never heard this composition before, and my goodness this is one of the most intense pieces I've ever listened too. I must learn this, thank you Kassia for an incredible, no less than magnificent of a performance!!
I was obsessed with this piece a few months ago-beautiful rendition. You need to expose the masses to Rach prelude op. 23 no. 4. That is in my eyes a perfect composition
Iʼve been following your channel for long enough to know how beautifully you express composersʼ feelings. You truly feel their happiness, misery, desperation etc, and put these feelings under your fingers. It is not easy to make a huge, black and abrupt monster sing, and you do it immaculately. I really adore you Kassia. Keep on)
Words can't describe the beauty of Rachmaninoff's pieces especially in that one. Music is language on its own. Hope you'll record much more pieces of Rachmaninoff

Words can't express how much I love rachmaninoff's music
Thank you. I like his music, too:)
All of rachmaninoff's pieces carry that little hint of sadness and Kassia does a great job of expressing that! Beautifully played Kassia!
Thank you for your words!!
@deniz117yeah
Such sadness - someone needs to give Rachmaninoff a hug.
Thank you so much, Luke:) I like your interpretation:)
🤗
might be a little to late for that.
And maybe he'll make a concerto for the hugger like he did with Concerto no.2 for his therapist
Oop might be too late though
