Our Saeco Intelia would not leave demo mode despite unplugging, waiting and plugging back in. We put it into test mode--all functions were good, shut it off and when turning it back on, it was functional. We are not sure why testing it worked, but we have been unable to find anything about these machines being 'stuck in demo mode' and Customer service is shut down for Covid, so this was a life-saver. Thank you!
Thanks for this very handy tutorial. Need to go through the test menu becasue i have a Red wrench and error 15. Awhile ago I replaced the pump, after 11+ years of use. Coffe would not ceom out, probably due to low pressure. So replaced it with a Euro 20 pump, 225 cubic centiliter and 8 bar and straight after that, it worked again. unfortunately got this error 15 so (ahppy) to look into that.
Hello & thankyou for your tutorial, I have a Saeco Intelia HD8752 about 11 years old with the following issue: If the unit hasn’t been used for a few hours or the power plug is unplugged and plugged back in again, upon power-up, the automatic rinse cycle starts as it should: You can hear the pump groaning, sounds like it is blocked. This automatic start up rinse is either very slow with little intermittent hot drips taking many minutes for the cycle to complete - which then leads to normal use. OR No automatic start up rinse drips and therefore the process fails entering into ‘prime mode’ which also fails & leads to an unusable ‘maintenance spanner symbol’ code 5. The only way to bypass this is to unplug and re-plug in the power plug, power-up the unit, then as it tries to perform the automatic rinse cycle, manually press the STOP option to bypass the automatic rinse and then the machine can be used as normal & makes great coffee. Note: The above symptom’s got worse after I performed a de-scale cycle, which failed at the end with of the final rinse / prime - but fully worked up until that final point. Maybe there is lime scale lodged in one of the following places: 1. Boiler 2. Solenoid valve 3. Steam & water regulator Note: This is strange because it is 100% possible to run the manual rinse cycle as per the instructions: Press the ‘pre-ground’ coffee button (with no coffee in it), then press the coffee / memo button and it does a big hot rinse no problems at all. Also, after use, when the unit is powered off, it performs a small rinse cycle with continuous hot running water coming out the dispenser, but only for a very short time. I have totally re-built the brewing unit per various RUclips demonstrations with new stainless steel plunger screen + plunger o-ring, disassembled & blasted out all the tiny holes in the plastic plunger, made sure all the elbows and holes are clear and clean, installed the valve spring and glass ball correctly, greased all the o-rings, sliders and pivots. I have also fully taken apart the dispenser locater under the LCD display, disconnected the tube that connects to the brew unit, blasted water + compressed air through it so that it is 100% clear. Fully internally cleaned out the dispenser unit. I have calibrated the coffee grinding unit. The other issue I have is that that GREEN does not work on the LCD display - however I can still faintly see the LCD instructions - enough to get by. I haven’t run the LCD display diagnostics because that is too difficult to see / follow. But it seem like the pump + grinder & heater all work. I have disconnected & reconnected the LCD & checked the other wires, but can’t see any damage. Years ago the green would flicker on every now and then, but dead these days..
Thanks a lot! Now I can clean the machine with hot water without spilling a big part of the cleaning tablet! Just be careful with the heater, something tells me it is not limited by temperature until the safety temp switch kicks in. I have the HD8752 but it works the same way.
I dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost my password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
Hi SCG, I have an Intelia 8752 and am trying to diagnose why the brew group is not passing water like it should. I have taken it apart and cleaned it (as well as the metal tamp base) and verified that in the diagnostic mode I can dispense water just fine from the wand (the solenoid on that mode) and water flows out of the brew group inlet with the brew group out (side open), but with the brew group in and in work position no water makes it to the espresso outlet. If I take the glass bead and spring out of the top of the brew group, then water makes it to the espresso outlets, which makes me think the pump is not building enough pressure. After about 30 seconds of pumping the pump seems to dead head and get quiet. Moving the brew group back to home position i can hear a small release of pressure. any suggestions?
Hi, hope you can help. My h20 says there is no water.. but there is. Sometimes its working just fine. But most of the time it says there is no water. Do i really need to replace the water sensor or something? Thanks
@@SeattleCoffeeGear actually there is but you need a special diagnostic box to see those things and company's do very secretly about it, i've found nothing online! for example Jura has pro-grade bussiness machines and next a service for it to read them out and maintain them long after purchase or renting/leasing.
I was able to enter a screen configuration but I was unable to save settings (focus) do you know how to do this? Also entered a screen demo and I found contrast and descale settings screens but I don't know how to enter to this setting specifically

This helped us out with our 8 year old machine, which brewed fine coffee every day. We will replace the grinder motor now.

Thank you guys! You saved my (and my wife's) life!!
Great look at the intelia test mode!! Please tell me, How do I check the number of cups my machine has served??

Try to clean it.
How do you factory reset saeco intelia focus?
Is it possible to know how many coffee cups the machine has made..
Hi oren A! Unfortunately, the machine does not keep that record, so there is no way to tell.

You can manually make a coffee by using test mode!

Well you can tell these people are from Seattle 🙄...couldn't get past 20 seconds.
