Stephanie I love the way you twisted the herringbone necklace, so I started out the same way as you. Then I tried down 1 and up 4! Wow it’s such a tight twist. I love ❤️ the look of it. I keep doing that all around and ignore the step up.

I love beading Cabochons and I have learned so much from you! But this. THIS!! This is one of the most beautiful teardrops I've ever seen! I can't wait to get busy as I have TONS of teardrops in every kind of gemstone imaginable. But I think that I might add matching Gemstone beads instead of Pearls as I have them in my stash as well.. Oh, the possibilities! They look so pretty in an elaborate necklace when arranged with two teardrops to the sides with the points facing a round Cabochon in the centre, and then a larger teardrop suspended from the central round Cab...and this design will work perfectly with this arrangement! I love your work, Stephanie - and you're the best teacher. I still buy bead-weaving books for one or two designs, and I wondered if you will ever author a beading book about all of your fabulous Cabochon designs? I would even pre-order it! I hope I've planted a seed!! XX
I always learn so much from your projects - both techniques and color sense. I was excited to purchase the Emerging Spring Collection, and am looking forward to making projects using these beads along with you. Could you share additional beads that will be needed ahead of time, so we can be sure to have them on hand for your new videos? I'm a fairly new beader and my stash, while getting well filled out, isn't guaranteed to have everything you might call for. I learned a lot from this project, but didn't realize until it was too late, what you mean by your comment that you can adjust the crystal a millimeter or so. Mine ended up not perfectly matching the point of the bezel up at the top, it's a tiny bit off center, and I didn't notice until I got to adding the pearls up at the top. So that is annoying, but others won't notice, I'm sure, unless they are looking very closely. Oh well, I learned another valuable thing not to do next time!

Regarding your bezel - you can still move it a bit so the point sits at the top. Gently kind of massage it until it moves a little 😃😊😆

I had another manifacturer of rivolis (theybare chineese), I needed to use an 11/0 at the tip, instead of a 15/0. With the seed beads. Otherwise it would be to small, but the 11/0 made it fit perfect! Funny how much difference 0.5-1mm can make!
Yes, for a bezel especially the mm size is so important. When it was just Swarovski, it wasn't a challenge but now with all the different brands we have to "Make it work". I'm always up for a challenge LOL
I am so impressed with your wonderful pieces that you are working on. This is real art. On the other hand, I'm so sad that Swarovski is closing its DIY section.
