Ischa Freimaak! 2022

The Bremer Freimarkt has been held in the northern German city of Bremen since 1035, making it one of the oldest folk festivals in Germany. With approximately 1.5 million visitors annually over 17 days and more than three hundred showmen, the organizers of the Bremer Freimarkt claim to host the largest event of its kind in northern Germany. The traditional call for the "fifth season," as the people of Bremen also refer to the Freimarkt days, is: "Ischa Freimaak!", which can be translated as "It's Freimarkt time!" The Bremer Freimarkt takes place in October on the Bürgerweide at the northern exit (Willy-Brandt-Platz) of Bremen's main train station.
