I recently visited the Aspire Lounge at San Diego Airport. I'll go over how to find the lounge, how to access it, and my thoughts on it!

It was way overcrowded last week when i was there😅 The food is relatively mediocre
Yeah that pretty standard for the Aspire lounge unfortunately. A lot more priority pass cardholders nowadays and BA has two daily flights that use that lounge and JAL has one daily flight as well.
At least you have a lounge access.. in the PP network there is no access for any lounges if I fly out of EWR 😅
Last time I flew, I thought Delta Sky Club was better than aspire. Especially during peak hours.
But I am going to miss the Priority pass restaurant perk to grab a quick bite at the PGA grill here. Not for the best food, but ease of access.
too bad Delta doesn't have many flights out of SAN, if they did I'd fly them more and get access with the Amex Platinum.
I fly there once a month. I have the United Club card and Priority Pass. Both the United and Aspire lounge are pretty sad. I’m hoping the Sapphire lounge is much better.
If Active Duty or Retired Military, I would recommend the USO outside of Terminal 2. Aspire is just OK, best way to get there is though TSA on east end of T2.
Good review. I've been to this lounge dozens of times in the past 7 years and have always found it fair to poor. Now I skip it altogether unless traveling at an off-time since it's usually overcrowded. It's easy in SAN T2 to find free seating that's more pleasant, either in the food court or any unused gate area
💯 Agreed. I usually just stop in to grab a snack and find somewhere quiet in the terminal to sit. Looking forward to the Chase Lounge opening!
A tip is that if you fly out of terminal 1 and get there early, you can go through security for terminal 2 and access this lounge, even if you’re not flying out of that terminal. I did this recently.
That’s a lot of work in my opinion to visit the Aspire lounge 😆 I’d maybe do that to go to the new sapphire lounge when that opens though
I've been there before and the food is ok and it's the only one Lounge that I can go and it can be over crowded
Great video! Planning on going here tomorrow so this video was perfect timing. Just a question about your video equipment, are you using the DJI Pocket 3 for most of the footage here?
Yup! All the footage was from the DJI osmo pocket 3!
@@MaxMilesPoints It looks awesome! What are your thoughts on using it?
@@aalyanbhanji6496 I like it! It’s been my go to camera the last couple trips!
I used to live in SD and still travel there about once a year. The Aspire lounge sucks and they badly need that Sapphire lounge to open. Once that's open, if I'm someone living in SD the Sapphire Reserve card is almost non-negotiable.
i REALLY need this sapphire lounge to open lol
WE** REALLY need the sapphire lounge to open 😆
@@MaxMilesPoints Especially since the restaurants are no longer in play. I would always eat at PGA prior to going to Aspire
do you know when will the SAN sapphire lounge open?
Construction has started so I give it another 1-2 years
Heh. Was supposed to be last year. Then this February. I think 1-2 years is probably right.
@@Richard_Bullwinkle always add 2-3 years to lounge opening estimates because they always get delayed hahah
Do you tip every time you get a drink at the lounge?
Yes
That is luxurious compared to the Priority Lounge in New Orleans. Small and limited everything. Not worth it at all.
Tipping so stupid.
