Sanrenmu and Ganzo are what got me into knives. They both have some *ahem* "heavily inspired" knives which I avoid now, but tbh without them I doubt I would be buying other knives today.
I got the FH-41 around a year and half ago. It is one of the best knives you could ask for. Swear I don't know if I got a mutant steel or some alien craft experimental crap. The blade out lasted my Benchmade 940. It eventually got put away just incase Armageddon happens. No, I just buy way too many knives. It does still have a special place in my heart. Another thing I noticed it cleaned up easily. Tape goo and sticky crap would just slide right off the blade with a little cleaner. Unbelievable knives for the price.
Glad to see you are giving Ganzo a look. They are the gateway knife that started me into knife collecting. They have a solid detent and well made for the price point. A lot of YTers still review and recommend them , Neeves, Beez, the Knife Beater, and BirdshotIV come to mind!
So right 👍. Mine was a ganzo 720 and adimante and went up from there but they’re still some of my favorite knives to actually use hard and they ve held up well . Especially the 720 . Talkin heavy heavy use for a knife with that 720
There's a lot of great knives in this $25-$40 price range. It's actually pretty incredible. Makes you wonder why we pay $300 for a knife lol. I call it a crossbar lock BTW.
Kubeys for $35 on AK is the best deal imo , lat years models , like 12 of them and they’re all good . I picked up 4 that were $60 in the summer . 322 , Thalia , momentum , Doris , calyce , wolverine is $30
The 1st one looks the best the one that looks like the rat looks interesting I've never had a cross bar lock knife but for 25 bucks I might just check one out great video man
Love my Firebird Ganzos, great edges out of the box so far, I USE THEM HARD! KPL will smooth it right up! 👍Also loving Sitiviens, great edges, durable and I really like their micarta when my hands are sweaty... I no joke get after it with these knives, consistently impressed with both! GRRRRRip it & let er RRRRRip, oh yeah! 💪😎👍
Great overview! I tried one last year and it felt gritty when I got it, so I took it apart to clean/re-lube. It wouldn’t go back together properly and the crossbar lock wouldn’t lock reliably after. Thought I had to have messed it up somehow, so I took it apart completely again and reassembled; still a no. Tried it again and then one last time a few weeks later. Still won’t go back quite right. For reference, I take knives apart regularly for cleaning/mods and have disassembled several Benchmades with similar locks. I can’t for the life of me figure out why it won’t go back together properly, but at this point it’s just being saved for sharpening practice. Mind you, this is an anomaly compared to the rest of the community’s experience. I just personally don’t have a desire to try them again after seeing that.
I believe Ganzo calls it the G-lock but yeah besides their clear “clones” they are some amazing budget knives. Best IMO that you should check out is the FH922…yeah stop sleeping on those “in house” Ganzos
Thank you for the video! You need to try a Ontario Knife rat 1. Excellent knives👍👍🤠🤠🗡🔪🗡🔪🎯🎯🤓🤓 the rat one I do not consider a fidget knife. It is just strong. I have put it through the ringer! I have not tried a Gonzo yet but I will!
Thanks for the videos interesting stuff, might sound weird but I think your videos are upside down (mirrored). Check the frame where you’re showing the label on the box,
i got the rat 2 clone with axis lock in digi camo g10, insane how much knife you get for so little money, that thing is comparable to my old spyderco endura, great action and slicer. Their multitools are trash though so ive heard.
Welcome to the budget realm Kole🤣😂, I have the fh31 and the 727 in grey, had to adjust the omega springs on the 727 to make it thumbstud flickable... Dropped a 17dps edge on both even though they came decently sharp love em both. Thanks for the vid!
Yes they do. And it definitely irks me just as much. But I tried to go into this one with an open mind. When they asked me to pick a few to check out, I picked 2 that weren't blatant copies, and I picked the 3rd because well, I mean... just look at it ;)
IMO it's always nice to have a decent-enough budget knife in the bag/vehicle/etc. Something that if it breaks, gets lost, borrowed, stolen, or you're too lazy to walk back for a screwdriver (lol jk) it's no big deal! I lost my Para3 the other day and its making me sick lol, had it been one of these i"d be well over it by now! 😂
If all of these can have a backspacer at under 30 bones, there is no reason 100+ knives shouldn’t have them
They call it a "blow through design" 😆 supposedly easier to clean,, even though they usually have bearings anyway lol
I like their inset liners and contoured scales too, surprising details for sub $30! 👍

Sliding bar lock, it's settled 👊 👍 Ganzo is about as good as it gets under 30

"stocking stuffers" without a hesitation of a doubt blows the doors off the dept. store drek Walmart sells ...., neat review ! 🤗

Very good knives at $50, excellent knives for half that price. I keep one in my car and one in my lunch pail for work. So I always have a blade.
Great video 📹 production as always, thanks so much for sharing Tristate
Thanks for the links! I always forget I don't see these on the XBOX, lol.

Have heard they are very good. Looking foward to a future triple threat review.
Spent more for a pocket clip

Great users Tri. How's the centering on those
Great review brother! I think I might go with Ganzos for my kids to start with. Also they would make really good gift knives.

Always heard good things about Ganzo, but never went down that hole yet. Maybe I should just give one a try lol

Yes Sir, Gonzo / Firebird makes good solid inexpensive knives.
Axis lock was first...I'd still call it that one
I knew they cost less than $2 to manufacture but dang where did you find the phonebook😆
Less than a Rubbermaid container. 😂
More knives to add to buy list, thanks....
action on new stonewash blades will improve significantly. let the ball grind its path ;-)
Jenkies I love a good mystery

Owning 2 out of 3 of these, I have to say, I've been REALLY impressed with Ganzo, though their methods are questionable.
Stop lying to us about the reviews, just do what you can and what makes you happy brother

Jus got mine in malaysia, nice budget knife
Is there any blade play?
All 3 are solid as a rock
Damn, gonna be scrolling through Ganzos again...
Cross bar lock
Clearly you meant Benchmade, then stepped up to Spyderco...
….everyone does NOT love these knives…😏
Then you'll love the torture testing vids incoming ;)
@@TristateEDC yeah that sounds like a legit video!!
Can’t stand Ganzo. They copy too many designs.

Not in the past few years, but they still sell the copied designs. : (
I've kind of moved on from budget knives in my collecting, but this has got me interested.

what can I say I always have time for a good lube job I've never had a ganzo but they don't look too bad👍🏼
