I subbed to Andertons years ago, mostly because of captain my captain. But unsubbed from Rob Chapman and Chapman guitars for 2 huge reasons. first of all, I love rob, subbed years ago also, listened to all his stuff on youtube. Now? No more...Why? 1st his Chapman line of guitars is a disgrace to all guitars. Out of box issues with thousands of models. Reddit etc full of poor fellows who cant do shit about it. Guitars of low quality and moving factories to save money + getting expensive while doing so. Crazy Rob. 2nd his bully attitude towards KDH to a point of death threads. Really disappointed in rob. Im done.
i know Im asking randomly but does someone know of a way to get back into an instagram account..? I was stupid lost the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me
I can't believe how good these guys play blindfolded! They are just killer guitarists. I dig Anderton's reviews, but this one is the best I've ever seen. I have to say-New Jersey Loves You Guys
Lee and Rob: Jam for 12 years at the beginning of every guitar shootout video, and a subsequent 47 years throughout the same videos. Ariel and Pete: Jam for 20 seconds Lee: "Not to push you, but let's move this along."
A perfect example how tone is in the hands!! They both play amazing, but there is a definite difference between the guitars when Ariel and when Pete play 'em.
The Sigma sounds really good! That one has to be my favorite one and then the Sire. The Sigma is more alive and has the bass while all the others (1, 3, 4) lacked. The Sire has this smooth, evenness, and warmth to it.
Your guitar blind tests are among my favorite videos. I really enjoy the chemistry that you all have together. Great playing and very entertaining. Thanks, Dale.
I look forward to new Anderton's video every morning and when one is uploaded it is surely a much better way to start the morning than watching the news. Seeing Pete, Ariel, and The Captain together and hearing the sweet jams within makes me want to buy another guitar...damn you! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays!!!
Glad to see Ariel back! Caught one of his US shows a couple months ago here in Texas, during a literal Texas Flood. Brilliant player with great songs, and a cool guy on top of that!
I really like the acoustic content. I feel like there’s way too much electric stuff going on even though acoustic guitars outsell electrics and most shows you see these days are acoustic too. Keep it coming!
I've had my Taylor Academy 10e for 5 years now and I play it every day. It has aged beautifully and the whole thing has come alive in the past year or so. It definitely shows pick wear without the guard but I plan to wear a hole in the thing eventually!
Happy Christmas! Worth it just to see you finally got a blindfold on Pete! Ariel and Pete is the best duo on Anderton's. I'm posting as I'm watching so hopefully they play out...
I don't often comment here, but I gotta show some love for the great Dane. Lee goes mega-impressed when Chappers guesses guitars by their pickups and neck profiles, etc... here's Pete guessing bloody acoustics right and no love, just a "get on with it" look. Pete, I was super impressed with your picking every bloody guitar right, and knowing your stuff with the range. That's impressive as hell, bro.
I was thinking that too, I think that’s why he over compensated by making a big deal about guessing the guitars. Saw Ariel this year and he’s a monster player.
Having bought a Sire R3 (the cutaway version with the mag pickups) from you on the strength of the original video, it's nice to see that it still holds its own in this company. And indeed, i have been recording with it, and, (in the hands of a better player than I!) it records beautifully, and sounds way better than it should do at the price. My best buy of 2018. Thanks again, to Andertons!
I know you don't stock them, but Art & Lutherie make some of the best acoustics I've ever played for under £500, sound, play and look absolutely stunning!!
i really liked the guy on the left he fulfilled the show more than all the presented guitars ..it's amazing how his play is that smart , smooth and rich yet smoother than his thin fingers...this is a subtle rich guitar player not that much boring shred ..just the right technique into the right emotion...wonderful. he remind me guys like Mark Knopfler and jeff beck where feeling contains the technique and not the opposite...like those so called virtuoso who shred until they don't know what they're saying!! lol. music is to say something with an instrument. anyway...good times in here as usual...thanks Captain.
Glad to see the Danish Pete being challenged! Ariel is not just darn good on the guitar. He's quite eloquent too. Guitar #2 Sire (a dreadnought) and the last guitar - the Sigma (also dreadnought-sized) sounded best - and that's on PC speakers over RUclips! It must sound amazing in the Anderton's studio. Pete used to be a demo guy for Taylor - no surprise then he spotted it immediately (see the earliest Anderton's videos with Pete and Lee). Merry Christmas everyone!!! =)
Fantastic video. And long overdue. As entertaining the Chappers/Captain-blindfolds maybe this is something way more informative. Looking for an acoustic i can modify the hell out of it electronic wise plus can take a good beating i think after this video i‘ll give the Sire and the Taylor a try. Thanks Pete, Ariel and Lee. Merry Christmas and good luck to y‘all in 2019!
Great show! I want those blindfolds. Interesting the Faith didn't come out too well; I believe it is the only all solid woods guitar our of the lot. Thanks, Lee.
I´d like more of these blindfold videos on Acoustic paradiso. They´re fun and interesting. Different price ranges from cheap to expensive would be cool.
Long Time viewer from Canada!! You Should check out some Seagull, Simon & Patrick and Godin guitars. All Canadian made guitars that have models for under or around 500
Kyle Stewart I agree 100%. I have an S6 Original and found the Seagulls to be SOOOO underrated it’s almost purposeful. I don’t know why they are so shunned but they are.
That Site was my favorite, such a fat sound with plenty of harmonics, not too much bass to where it's muddy either, sounded fantastic! I know what my next acoustic will be! The fact that it was the least expensive blew my mind!!!
11:15 - Pete didn’t like number 3 until he felt the tapered armrest, thought it was a Taylor (as he gives away at 14:18) then said “it’s not too bad actually”. 😂 Should be judging on sound only. With a Taylor you’re mostly paying for the name and a sub-£300 Yamaha FG800 would have blown the competition out the water.
Not a $500 acoustic, but I’m impressed with the PRS Angelus. I picked one up for $525, and at roughly 5 years old, it is alive. Amazingly consistent. It sounded way better than my Breedlove, which in the same timeframe seemed to have lost some of its harmonic ability.
That Ariel is a class act, and has some serious tasty playin', their jam sounded great! It's interesting the tone from the hands and playing style alone, as well as the different preferences one may look for in a guitar. Those are some nice guit's for that price. Im sure any player would be happy to walk away with any of those.DOES ANYOME KNOW who's that Ariel guy?? Aka last name/band? His blues/bluegrass playin is just what I love.
Glad to see Ariel but Pete is my guitar God!both together is great.great blindfold test video.awesome test.you couldn't have better judges!i wish they would of had some high-end guitars to test $2-3000 range but,500 is 👌.great video lee.tyvm.Merry Christmas to everyone at Andertons from across the pond in Ohio.
Felt like Ariel was the only one that wanted to film that video, and surprisingly still made it interesting the whole way while the others were rushing and being snobby
Just based on the sound in the video, I liked the Sigma the best. Then the Alvarez. Then whatever #2 was. After that, I'm not sure; the others didn't stand out, to me.
Wow that Taylor has a beauuutiful top!! Very nice figuring... great video! I love these blindfold challenges, hearing playing without any influence is a different vibe!
Missed opportunity to slip in a $4000 guitar here. Would've been great to get their reactions.

Im done.
Why I wrote that? Cause looking at captains face he seems like a genuine decent and sweet guy. Looking at rob is so weirds now
i know Im asking randomly but does someone know of a way to get back into an instagram account..?

@Rhett Brian Instablaster :)
@Zahir Eduardo it worked and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my ass :D
Pete - "I like it."
Care to elaborate?
..."I like it."
Good times!
Good to see you back on the channel! And I can't wait for the album! Cheers
Ariel Posen great playing today!
I like your sweatshirt...and the blindfold playing of course.
Ariel, great to see you back on Andertons, man you were just cookin' with fire, blindfold be damned! 🎸👌🤘👍
I can't believe how good these guys play blindfolded! They are just killer guitarists. I dig Anderton's reviews, but this one is the best I've ever seen. I have to say-New Jersey Loves You Guys

Hypocrisy incarnate!

I love the way Pete doesn’t get the game, he just comments on the size, whether the neck is lacquered, what type of strings are on etc...
The Sigma sounds really good! That one has to be my favorite one and then the Sire. The Sigma is more alive and has the bass while all the others (1, 3, 4) lacked. The Sire has this smooth, evenness, and warmth to it.
The Sigma surprised me in the low end. It's like the opposite of the Taylor.
There absolutely should have been a Yamaha in this
word!
Agree!
Yeh an R1
probably....and perhaps a Seagull
@@nalatreborrenoclaf9648 in the price range i suggest Yamaha jog 50
One more day until the legendary Anderton's Christmas Jam!!!!
Looking forward to it

Ariel's playing at 8:37 is awesome!! Pete's reaction is great too!
Sire produces guitars with such a shimmering sound. I’m impressed.
that jam from 24:20 was epic!! I can't even play 1% like them even with eyes opened!! very cool!
Glad to see Ariel back! Caught one of his US shows a couple months ago here in Texas, during a literal Texas Flood. Brilliant player with great songs, and a cool guy on top of that!
Love it how Pete crosses his arms and looks to the left, like his actually looking at something.
It was more like hey i don't wanna talk coz he is better player then me
Christ, that was an amazing off the cuff jam. Those guys can play.
Can see Pete is so jealous with Ariel blindfold playing haha 😂😂😂😂 damn Ariel is good 🔥🔥🔥
I really like the acoustic content. I feel like there’s way too much electric stuff going on even though acoustic guitars outsell electrics and most shows you see these days are acoustic too. Keep it coming!
It’s ridiculous how well they both can play blindfolded
incredible blind playing!
Agree with Ariel on number five being the best one. Now to practice for for some decades to be able to play like him...
Absolutely the Sigma is my favorite, + the hunk on the left
These videos are infinitely more entertaining than anything on cable or Roku or whatever they call television these days!
I've had my Taylor Academy 10e for 5 years now and I play it every day. It has aged beautifully and the whole thing has come alive in the past year or so. It definitely shows pick wear without the guard but I plan to wear a hole in the thing eventually!

Hard to tell whether he was so acurate in guessing the models due to fondling them so much???
This dudes are unbelievable good players!
Pete is not used to having someone better than him in the room hahaha
I was thinking that too, I think that’s why he over compensated by making a big deal about guessing the guitars. Saw Ariel this year and he’s a monster player.
Pete can play... but he is so freaking nervous in the way he talks and plays, I sometimes just stop looking because he stresses me out that much...
Sigma - Sire - Taylor - Alvarez - Faith.
In that range of price I would add the excellent:
Eastman, Yamaha, Art & Lutherie, Seagull among others.
I absolutely love the Taylor A series guitars. I have the A10 myself and I love the sound
Would like to see a 500-1000 comparison. Maybe throw the Sire in to make it interesting. Great videos always enjoy them!
the second guitar is a sire bro
I think he is on about the sire a7 model. It costs 699
Yeah!!! Ariel's back. Best Christmas Eve ever!

What happened to headstock guessing bonus round? :(

Sigma and Merida are by far my favourite acoustic guitars at that sweet spot price range,
Fantastic video. And long overdue. As entertaining the Chappers/Captain-blindfolds maybe this is something way more informative. Would have liked to see either of the Eastman slope shoulders models in this comparison. Nice informative video!
Ariel with the cheeky Giant Steps at 17:49 hahaha
Great video. Would love to see £750 and £1000 versions.
Super. The Sigma sounded great to me.
LOL at captain Lee getting pissed that he touched the machine heads
And every time Pete pissed about and didn't play lol
1 Sire
2 Sigma
3 Alvarez
4 Faith
5 Taylor
These two lads play better blindfolded than I can even think it, let alone play it.
Ariels back!!!
Jay98 and it’s just grand!
Great challenge ..great players...great jam near the end with both playing ...thanks for all your hard work 2018 ..enjoy the Holidays
Great show! I want those blindfolds. Interesting the Faith didn't come out too well; I believe it is the only all solid woods guitar our of the lot. Thanks, Lee.

Love that Lee dressed for the acoustic occasion.

Blindfold jam! Pete and Ariel are guitar gods.
Another stellar demo... Nice job, guys
Sire R3 sounds amazing, and I got one myself for just under £200
Blind testing for acoustic guitars is an excellent idea 👍

The guitar on the left wall is possessed!!!!! 😱😱😱😰🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

That was cool... especially the crickets
2 & 5 sounds great 👍
That was great guys. Merry Christmas!
Nice! Now do the same with the smaller guitars, like Baby, GS-Mini and the likes! The sofa-guitars.
Let’s see more from Ariel, great player and was straight to the point with no nonsense.
Have you tried any Freshman models? Some of those are pretty good.
