I believe it was just for show (not the right word, but I can't English rn), they did it before when performing this song. He goes on singing "Silence strikes like a hurricane", right? That was a genius idea, it made the live performance very special. It's a song about a break-up or at least a bad ending to a relationship anyway, why would he dedicate it to Chester?

What a song for you to start with!!! Despite this amazing performance, I understand he was very ill & thought of canceling this performance. They were about to tour with LP when Chester died. I’ve heard the same thing about that pause being a dedication to him but also heard that wasn’t true. Either way, they were definitely influenced by LP. Btw, they’ve been together since 2005 - all that time I’ve been missing those bands too, OOR has been there all along 😊
