The middle game was as complicated as it gets. Hari fearlessly pushing his king side pawns, disregarding his own king's safety is honestly what sets apart super GMs and us mortals. Brilliant game!

The endgame was really very nice. Lots of instructional value.

Hari's king was very passive compared to Pragg's active king. Also it didn't make sense to give a check to Pragg's king which was dozing on the back rank and help it move forward.

Sometimes the players are prone to playing patterns. If they see a free check, they just give it. Also applies to en passant, sometimes people automatically capture en passant just because its available, without pausing to consider not capturing it. In this position around 9:00, Pragg built that bridge on the 7th rank with his rook to allow his king to move up the board, obviously Hari had to either exchange (which in fact was the best idea) or he had to move his rook away(to escape being captured). But he first played rook to the 8th rank giving a pointless check, losing a valuable tempi.

Watched the video as soon as I woke up, before getting out of bed. Now I am making coffee. Very interesting line for Black, especially with the "Siberian Trap" in this line!

At 5:58, it didn't make much sense - Hari's decision to keep the f file closed. If you are doing a pawn storm, and then you decide to keep the position closed on that very side, its kind of like "going nowhere"

Not a GM by a mile but I would definitely try this game with rooks exchanged and my pawn on dark square rather than feeding my paws for free and then be forced to exchange anyway
