  • This is a seasonal recipe, specially made in winter when you ll get best and good quality fresh pigeon peas in the market. Initial process of the recipe is very similar to Gujarati Khichu. Tuver Na Dhekra recipe comes from Gujarati Anavil Brahmin Community. Many people calls it dhekhra or dhekra. However in Gujarat people also makes Dhebra which is totally a different then dhekra.
    Its very important to follow the measurement for this recipe to get perfect result. Here fresh I have pressure cooked the fresh pigeon peas and then used but many people also crush it and then use it but traditional its used without crushing it.
    Many peoples knows that my Hindi is very weak so I tend to speak few words repeatedly which can be irritating at some point but yeah I am improving so please bear with me :-P.
    Ingredients:
    1 Cup Green Pigeon Peas
    1-1/2 Cup Water
    2 tsp Ginger Paste
    1 tsp Chilly Paste
    1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
    2 tbsp Jaggery
    1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
    Salt to Taste
    1 Cup Rice Flour
    2 tbsp Wheat Flour
    2 tbsp Sorghum Flour
    1 tbsp Gram Flour
