This was SO HELPFUL! Didn't know there is a way to trick instagram using the developer tool, to upload! When that part came, my mouth kept saying, wow....... Thank you!
I came for copper and ended up finding gold. Not only the Photoshop tutorial was useful per se, but the Instagram mobile version in the web page tip, was amazing! Geez, thanks.
SUUUUUPER HELPFUL! I watched a few other videos made by other ppl for this topic, which provided different methods to do this, but none were nearly as good, efficient, or helpful as this one. Thank you!!
Thanks a lot that was so helpful and straight to the point ! The android developer tool tip is just awesome :-) I've been searching for such a trick for a while ! thumps up :-))
Thank you for your amazing tutorial> Super useful Followed step by step. here is a problem i run into- when saving for web (legacy), next window was giving me options of 3 main formats (GIF, PNG , JPEG) however no matter what format I would choose - the images were saved only in GIF format , which Instagram would not accept. >SO i had to manually resave each GIF to PNG,> Any ideas why that would be and how to avoid this for the next time?
One thing that I can't quite solve is the gutter (the white/black separation) between each thumbnail. Your method is great for natural shapes, but if the image your are splitting has geometric shape, i.e. vertical/horizontal lines/shapes, the "mismatch" between thumbnails will show. Now, I'm not sure if its size changes with device, but I have played around with gutter settings in the layout and it doesn't seem to do anything. Do you know a way to solve this?
Here is what I'm looking for. There are applications that do this, but it is more enjoyable and more quality to do it yourself. Thanks for the video :)
This is SO helpful, thank you!!!! The only issue I have is when I export the slices they save as gifs, even if I choose the jpeg option in the export for web window. I've tried a few times now, and always the same. Help!
You're welcome! Hmm that's so strange... I'm sorry but I honestly have no idea why that might be happening! If you figure it out please share on here for others
ruclips.net/video/UV0y-beEOIg/видео.html&ab_channel=NatalieRosella This video soved the issue! I was having the same problem but now it works perfectly! simple fix.
Thanks for your excellent video. I am following your instructions to the best of my knowledge, yet, no matter what format I set for exporting the slices (JPEG, PNG), I only get GIF images. I am using PS 2021. Any suggestions? Thanks again
This video gets a super like, thank you very much! Got a question, you exported the file as high quality instead of the maximum quality. Should we export using maximum quality, or have it on high?
Thanks so much! Honestly you'd have to test as I'm not 100% sure, but typically from what I've read from others, instagram is going to compress your photo more the larger the file - So high quality finds a good balance of great quality + lower file size. Honestly though, the best way would probably be to just experiment with both and then compare!

Thank you so much, you help me a lot in my interview's task. I hope i will get that job
can i ask, why the format for that 9 pics are gif? i cannot change that to png
I'm not sure - Sounds like your export settings just need to be changed to jpg!

To post on instagram directly from your laptop, you can also download "Direct message for Instagram" in the google web store and use the extension.
Interesting - Good tip! Personally I find just switching to mobile view is easy but I've never tried the extension!

But when I post a picture after the collage. The order of the 9 pic collage gets fucked up. Is there a solution to this?
