the second teleporter will not work and i cant find out why, plz help
Make sure the teleporter is on the oncollide and the other is in the poststep. Second make sure you have both of the lines correct
e.other.pos = scene.my.tpNo1
And
scene.my.tpNo1 = pos
If this doesn’t work let me know
In the white text on the second one you forgot to put = pos, so me being the blind child i am did not see it, but its okay! Your videos are a life saver

How to limit number of marbles from going into the teleporter?
@@lucaschai5788 a little more complicated...
step 1: Press F10
step 2: type this: scene.my._spotsleft= 8 (or any other number, 8 if you want 8 marbles teleport)
step 3: type this to thing you want to teleport from (onCollide):
e.other.pos=scene.my.tpNo1;scene.my._spotsleft=scene.my._spotsleft-1;timeToLive=scene.my._spotsleft
Other things stay the same (use 2nd type of teleporters)

Just in case you were wondering, you can do other stuff than “scene.my.tpNo” like “scene.my.var”, etc.
Edit: Also, if you want to make the marble stay still while teleporting, add a semi-colon to the teleporting script, do Shift + Enter, then use “e.other.vel = [0, 0]” (you can also fiddle the velocity so that you can make the marbles go at a specific speed and direction).

How do you give an object a name so you can interact with it in a scene? For example, if I want circle 'a' to change color when circle 'b' touches circle 'c', I need to refer to circle 'a' by name. How to I give circle 'a' a name?

@@baro_owl in the script menu. Click the name at top of the script (should be circle) then type in the name you want!

Let me explain - I'm making a teleporter but its not still, its attached to a piston which is moving up and down. there is only one small problem: it doesn't work with algodoo BMX Cyclers that is what i am looking for. a elevator or a teleporter that that moves more than one thing but still this works super cool thanks!!! (A lot)

I don’t think water will work but you can do it with a lot of small balls. It would be easier on your computer if you did it like that too.

@Crustville, do you know where I find a reference for this scripting language? I'm not new to scripting, but I'm finding this particular language a bit annoying to deal with as I can't seem to find any decent reference material that defines what built-in objects, methods, properties and functions are available. What little I've figured out so far has mostly been bits and pieces found in various videos and forum answers.

Change material Restitution above 1.000
You can up the restitution or put
e.other.vel = (0, 0)
In the onCollide section. The first 0 is the x axis (left and right) and the second 0 is the y Axis (up and down). The higher the number the bigger the boost. Sorry for the late reply. If you have more questions feel free to ask.
Can you show how you add damage to an object. I want to create marble races where they can get damaged, also how can I create a boost pad
You should look up the Marble Siege Tutorial by Doc. It goes into depth with a lot of that stuff

If you just want them to disappear but this in the OnCollide
colorHSVA = [0, 0, 0, 0]
If you are wanting it to completely go away use this instead

i tried this but the teleporter bounces off those objects that teleport. however, removing the teleporter from the layer causes no teleportation. any help?
this won't work for some reason. when i go out of the script to get the position of where i want the marble to teleport to and then i come back into the script of the object, everything i typed is gone!!!!! could you please tell me why this is happening and how to fix it

In the object that disappears put this in the post step
scene.my.var1 == 1 ? {collideset = 0; colorHSVA = [0, 0, 0, 0]} : {collideset = 1; colorHSVA = [copy in what is in the colorHSVA and put it here]}
In the object that gets hit to make it disappear put this in the oncollide
Scene.my.var1 == 1 ? {scene.my.var1 = 0} : {scene.my.var1 = 1}
If this doesn’t work let me know. I’m typing this on my phone so it might not work but I’ll try it later and fix it if I need to.

WAIT!!! VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION: How do you make a MOVING teleporter? Because the walls on either side also get teleported to the new position, and that kinda sucks.
If you use different collision layers it won’t teleport the walls
By walls, I mean when a pump moves there has to be walls to make the object move straight. But if i want to make a moving teleporter with a pump, how would I be able to teleport the walls. Sorry, I meant pump walls

Ahh gotcha. Instead of using a teleporter on the pump use a normal black like you would normally do. Then glue that black together with the teleporter and it should work

Make sure you have a ; after your teleporting code
E.other.pos = [0, 0];
Timetolive = 0
When i press play the teleporter just dissapears
Make sure the timetolive is set to infinity. You have to put timetolive = 0 in the onCollide section

The second teleporter aint workin
it didnt work because when i put enter.pos=0,0 and try to copy it doenst and also the e.enter.pos=0,0 dissapears!
It’s supposed to be e.other.pos = [0, 0]
And make sure you remember the brackets around the coords
