Cheap, easy, water resistant, critter (raccoon, squirrel, etc.) resistant, easy to fill, slow release, no batteries needed. Best design for a deer feeder I've seen yet!
This here a doggone sho nuff good easy method of feeding and holding deer! I just today have discovered yo channel! Thank you much crazy Scooter! I'm now a subscriber! Take care and go easy young man! Later on down the road!
for the people that say this is scaring the deer off, it takes time for deer to adjust to this kinda stuff, their not just gonna automatically know that ting means corn is falling, takes time so put a few up after season, not during. Deer are cautious animals they arnt gonna just come running to something new, put it in a heavy traffic area, close to a mineral lick, crossing, food plot etc, get em used to the sound, eventually when they associate that noise to food they will come running, almost literally
I like how simple that is. I just started running cams last month. Season is a week away here. I will make one of these after season is closed. Thanks for sharing.
Good idea! I had the caption going while I watched it and hands down the funniest thing I’ve seen all day. I have the same accent and seeing thing thing trying to figure out what you were saying had me rolling.
after Dem bucks get used to that ting tingin you just bring a coffee can with some corn in it and shake it up a few times while in the stand. forget the grunts and rattles, I'm using the ting tinger! hahaha. this is a good idea and the guys commentary is even better
Don't let anyone bullshit ya . Have a neighbor feeds his cattle by rattling grain in a big tin pan to call them. The deer are right there with them at feeding time. This should work the same.
This feeder is PERFECT. I bought some land that is a 45 drive away from my house and there is a piece of shit low life that lives a couple miles away and will steal anything that aint sunk in 6ft of concrete. I have stayed out there twice trying to catch him on my property. I have been wanting to put trail cams and feeders on my land but i may as well just drop them off at his house and save myself the trouble of setting them up. This is perfect. I have access to all the food grade buckets that I want and I will dremel up the threaded rod so it cant be used if stolen. Putting a couple out on sunday.. thanks for the idea.
On a windy day you loose all your corn. Need a timer and battery. Moultrie feeders are cheap and you set timer when you want it to feed and how many seconds to run.
Man , hogs on my place would have a field day with that rig, they cratered a 55 gal feeder with pipe legs, 7’ off the ground,They leaned on the legs with their body weight toppling the feeder full of corn, ate the corn & stomped the barrel & timer to pieces! Lol! Good Luck with that !
Love the design of this feeder. Went to TSC and bought the stuff to make it. The camouflage 5 gal. buckets are a little over $3 right now on clearance. Red lids are $3 but they got a better one, white, for like $8. I went with the cheaper lid. What size hole is in the bottom of the bucket? Thank You
How often you have to feel the bucket with corn? And I bet it does fair job from keeping the racoons away. I'm going to try to make a little bigger version of this and put it on legs.
Instead of everyone B!tching about the damn metal can. why dont you just use some PVC pipe. and instead of the ping ping pinging , it will just go click click click . nice set up
Update: I replicated this bucket feeder exactly as the video. No deer have even get close to it. Very disappointed. Only squirrels got to it and ate the plastic bucket and then finished all the corn... Don't waste your time and money, just put $30 more and get a metallic drum and time feeder from walmart. You will thank yourself for doing that. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
get a metal bucket and cover and do it the same way. The point IMO is to have the deer associate food w the sound, and then replicate the sound naturally in the fall when you can no longer bait (in some areas) nor use electronic calls/sounds to attract deer. If your timed feeder does it, great. If you can't replicate the sound of your timed feeder without electronics, then in states where that is prohibited, it won't work.
Thats funny cuz I just put 2 of these up exactly like his 2 weeks ago. Took 3 days and now the deer won't leave them alone. Will be filling up again in a few days. They tend to nose the all thread right at the bottom of the opening. Ting ting ting on my czm vids lol
How do you “adjust the gap just with your nuts”? Damn, now that’s a skill. Doesn’t that hurt?. It’s a good thing I was already born with “double nuts”😂😂

Ting, ting, Ting I got me a new design!
Thank you. Great video really easy simple design.

Thanks for taking the time to show us this feeder!! Nice work!!
Very en genius, old school smarts. Taste, smell and hearing.
Using every sense. Thanks.

Need to show it working
Made the second one today. Ain’t got corn in them yet but I got a feeling these are gonna be good feeders!
after Dem bucks get used to that ting tingin you just bring a coffee can with some corn in it and shake it up a few times while in the stand. forget the grunts and rattles, I'm using the ting tinger! hahaha. this is a good idea and the guys commentary is even better
I know for a fact that works but it takes a while to condition the deer
Don't let anyone bullshit ya . Have a neighbor feeds his cattle by rattling grain in a big tin pan to call them. The deer are right there with them at feeding time. This should work the same.
Dang good ol boy gots him knowledge. Putn the corn in and ting ting ting dinner time !
Nice! I just got a few large boxes of acorns I could drop in it.... local deer are gonna love it!
Thanks! easy to do and no real maintenance!
Nice job man, great tutorial!!!!
It's the same scientific method that goes into slot machines, except for deer.
Shick-shing for people, ting-ting for deer.
Hey brother that’s great ingenuity for a dear future but I would expect on a windy day that feeder will empty pretty quickly
I just made one of these can't wait to see how it does. Super cheap to make
Did you use your homemade feeder? If so how did it do?
Worked really good until a bear stole it lol
“Food grade bucket” 😅😂❤
This truly gives me hope that I too can do RUclips videos !
Pretty darn clever.
great idea... thanks for sharing
Put a couple peanut butter jars on the side of the bucket
"That ting tingin" lol love it!

TAC-Z try a stealthcam cell cam, sends pics to phone.
TAC-Z sorry that POS is stealing, if he is stealing you might as well figure he is poaching too
Go to his house and steal your stuff back… JS
"You hear Dat ting ting tingin!?" Lol
Were you on moonshiners? Just kidding... God Bless You
good video ding ding
Ting Ting ting Ting ting......hell yea
On a windy day you loose all your corn. Need a timer and battery. Moultrie feeders are cheap and you set timer when you want it to feed and how many seconds to run.
This good ol boy been sipping some shine
PrentissRacing ,,,, Nothing wrong with that.
He said you set the gap by,your nuts lmao😂
I played that back 5 times and was in tears
This is one funny BillieGoat. I'd like to see how he traps his women. lol, great video Crazy Cooter.
Still watching 2019
Good job, thanks.
Well, it's about the best setup I've seen. I going to make some of these for sure. 73 to you too.....N5NLU
i'm with mitchwacksit i wanna see that ting ting tinger doin' it's job... thanks for sharing your idea!
ting ting ting, or gets it done!
Make bacon?
awesome
i think the tin can needs to be very heavy so wind will not move it easily. maybe fill with cement first. a round still ball would work best.
Say, "That's dinner time Ma.."
You have to put a metal Lid on the bucket 🪣 because of the squirrels will chew a hole in the lid
I really like this design. Would love to see deer eating off of it. Thanks for the video.

What size hole is in the bottom of the bucket? Thank You
fun design...completely illegal here in Wisconsin, but still...a simple design.
great idea, my only question is, do you have to put screen in the can opening to prevent wasps and birds from using the can for a home?
no, as long as its got feed in it the wasps won't get in it. And birds won't go through the hole. Take it down when season is over.
Cool, ting ting
Double nutz and ting ting.
Do you have bears down there? Bears will tear that up in a New York heartbeat!
Y'all hear that ting tinging time for supper
Might be worth a try. 73s N5UUN
Dey gonna get all Kern Crazy!
How often you have to feel the bucket with corn? And I bet it does fair job from keeping the racoons away. I'm going to try to make a little bigger version of this and put it on legs.
crazy cooter? demolition ranch?
damn vato gots knowledge. conditions the deer to come on the ting ting ting dinner time
clever
Dang! Darwin's Waiting Room is waitin' fer you!
thanks COOTER
Any time!
Thanks for sharing, gonna try this. Do you tighten everything tight or leave it alittle loose to move around somewhat?
Jason Atkins,,,, You have to leave a gap in it so the rod can swing and just a big enough hole to let the corn trickle out.
Ol' Crazy Cooder ? :)
Instead of everyone B!tching about the damn metal can. why dont you just use some PVC pipe. and instead of the ping ping pinging , it will just go click click click . nice set up
It's not ping ping its ting tinging
Good idea
Is there a follow up video? This doesn't look very effective to me.
What diameter is the hole in the bottom of the bucket?
I did 1.5 inch hole with a thick washer about 2 inches.
Hey Bryan, you using cracked or whole corn in that there ting-tinger?
simple design
😂👍
Stream feeder. That's got to be a tall deer lol
you can adjust the gap with your nuts...spill all your corn out!!! LOLLLL
"Increase the odds, well see." Haha
Update: I replicated this bucket feeder exactly as the video. No deer have even get close to it. Very disappointed.

Don't waste your time and money, just put $30 more and get a metallic drum and time feeder from walmart. You will thank yourself for doing that.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well Hell, just hunt them Damn squirrels and put them in your freezer.
MrPDG79 must work at walmart

Hint,, put a dab of peanut butter inside of can itll get deer to nudge it or else why would they want to nudge a can
It work like a chicken waterer nipples, they learn that hitting it, water drips out, so the deers are much smarter than Kamala. 😂😂
Unfortunately that thing wouldn't last a week in bear country.....and deer would figure out how to nudge it and empty it every night!
Funny guy...
4:10 I hear it ting ting tinging already .any metal sounds in the woods send deer to the next hollow' just sayin.
the automatic 150 dollar deer feeders make a similar sound when they start up
jr you obviously haven't hunted that much or at all. He is right, the deer will get used to that sound and will come ah runnin.
I got a video of a deer eating the corn during the ting tingin.
How do you “adjust the gap just with your nuts”? Damn, now that’s a skill. Doesn’t that hurt?. It’s a good thing I was already born with “double nuts”😂😂
Squirrels will destroy that set up
Great feeder spell checks a b....
He'll they will empty that in one nite!!!
My beagles name is cooter
my brothers rottie shepard cross was named cooter too haha
Stupid but neat LOL
Good deal!
de kc5ngx qrt
whole
Its bad to feed deer corn
yes and no.
Wait till they get fed the bullet!
Good video except the vulgar language. Remember, young folks may watch your videos.
Didn't seem vulgar to me
I think Meth has alot to do with the design !
No meth involved with this video 😊
You can claim anything, no pics, no proof.
Baiting deer with corn is for people that can't hunt. Lure them in and then shoot your deer. How challenging is that?
Shut Up and go fix supper !!!!
We stole the concept from cattle huntin...ting ting ting
for the people that say this is scaring the deer off, it takes time for deer to adjust to this kinda stuff, their not just gonna automatically know that ting means corn is falling, takes time so put a few up after season, not during. Thanks for sharing, gonna try this. Do you tighten everything tight or leave it alittle loose to move around somewhat?
Jason Atkins every nut is tight but it is designed to float around an let the corn drop out.
