  • Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has branded Rishi Sunak is a “dodgy salesman” as he pushed the Prime Minister on small boat crossings in the House of Commons.
The party leaders came to blows in the chamber after Dover MP Natalie Elphicke crossed the floor to the Labour Party benches just ahead of Prime Minister’s Questions on May 8.
Mr Sunak also challenged Sir Keir to respond to comments made by newly re-elected London Mayor Sadiq Khan.

Labour and Tories are different wings of the same bird. While these two are the main parties, England will never improve.

Oh god, honestly their answers to questions were so out of touch and made no sense, it seemed like they were just reading one after the other their text what they wrote before the Q&A over different topics and then just to come out with random topics to each other and call this a Q&A at the British parliament , that's ridiculous and SO unnatural tbf🤦‍♂️

Most MPs will table the same question about engagements and if they do, only their names will appear on the question book. After the first engagements question has been asked, any other MPs who have tabled the same question are simply called to ask an untabled, supplementary question.
This means, in theory, that the Prime Minister will not know what questions will be asked of them. However, the Prime Minister will be extensively briefed by government departments in anticipation of likely subjects they could be asked about. Hope this clears up why it may seem as though responses are pre prepared, they are not.
