God Leo is badass.
He simply likes the character and likes to show off, just like he does with Mewtwo.

MKLeo sticking with Byleth is one the most pleasant surprises in smash

@@KotaWebb The thing I hate the most about Byleth isn't even about Byleth directly but the fact that most characters got significant shield buffs to balance against their shield-breaking moves. The beefy shields and rolling were the most obnoxious things about Smash 4 and their nerfing was one of my favorite aspects of Ultimate, and now that's partially gone. Also my main didn't get the shield buff and I'm salty lol. As a side note, as long as the general nerf to grabbing out of shield stays there'll be hope for Ultimate
I think he is playing Byleth now because the salt has died down. I remember when the character first came out there were only Byleth players online for a month. The character is pretty much forgotten about nowadays. It is nice to see them come back by the greatest player
No lie M2K actually has the good commentary I wish we had more frequently. He knows so much about the game and he's energetic
honestly i really appreciate how educational your commentary is. you're giving great technical details why a player did a certain play or why they should have/ shouldn't have did that play.
6:55 yes you can m2k, its just quite tight. You have to fast fall and get the NQ (nairquake what we call the landing hitbox). NQ doesnt send into tumble until 64% with no rage, so it cant be DIed. Byleth can therefore nairquake loop the vast majority of the cast, including rob. Unfortunately leo doesnt do the fast fall timings right and usually gets the aerial finishing hit when he goes for nair-nair, which is why he doesnt get it.
Thats what happened here. You can see ROB was sent into tumble and therefore leo was unable to follow up. If he had fastfell earlier and done a dash nair, he could have gotten 4 nairs and a runoff fair at the end, most likely.
It's probably cuz it was online. In person he could play one handed and rape any of us
@@tdawg490 sure he could destroy me but ive seen plenty of leos offline byleth on streams, as well as tons of his online play in good connections. He doesnt go for nairquake loops ever. I can know about something leo doesnt use while still not being as good at playing the game as him, i simply spend a lot of time labbing. Im on the bylethcord lab team lmao

Rob was trying to cheese leo too much. Also the obvious rolls and spot dodge.
That’s because side b lingers long and can catch immediate tether up which alot of byleths go for
not to mention repeatedly going for combos that didn't work the first 80 times. Leo's responses to those combos were pretty consistent, so even a little schmix might have gone a long way

I remember when MKleo's Byleth lost in online tournaments and now he's excelling
One thing I don't like about this game is that red flash when you land a move. I think what people don't realize is that the red flash is not accurate. I stress, *the red flash when the game thinks you killed someone is not correct.* There are many moves in the game where even when you DI it perfect, the red flash won't even show up. Take Pikachu up throw or Incineroar's side b with revenge for example. I don't know why it hasn't been fixed yet, and I wish more people knew.

it’s really not a big deal, i’m p sure the red flash shows when no DI would kill you but can be sometimes avoided with DI, and if it doesn’t show and you die you probably had bad DI. either way just optimally DI every move you can, and you’ll be fine

I appreciate M2K commentating, but I don't like how he tries to predict every situation. I feel like it's not good commentating.
Isn't that how most of us carry out conversation? More of a rush to get our opinion across and less listening
Love M2k when he gives analysis on flowcharts and why certain things work and don’t work. But him trying to predict EVERY interaction (fair to dair?, up throw? Up b? Oh I thought he was gonna up b. )is draining and slightly annoying. I love him tho. Just wish he would react to what happen and not predict everything with a question.
