Mam, my daughter took up arts in her junior college as she was planning to take up law. She suddenly had change of plan and now wants to do catering technology. I gave her your example and made her understand that she can study law but can carry on her passion for cooking like you. Even my mom who lives in India gave your example. Hope she will listen to me and follow her dreams and passion too.
Why not sister?? Let her study and do whatever she enjoys doing. In my young age, everybody wanted me to study, in the medical field, as many of my family members. I did....follow their advice, but I did not enjoy the medical profession. After 3 and half years working in Hospitals...I quit, pursued my studies in Hotel Management and Catering technology. Fate brought me here to Belgium. I am still working in Hotel / Catering ( I am working in Food and Beverage service at a High class French / Belgian restaurant), and I dont regret it at all.
