@@handles_are_dumb_01 Yes the behavior stays quite similar over all the whole feline line. There are big differences in some areas but overall behavior the same. And when forced together in zoo's naturally lonner cats normally get along well. Based on seeing Mother cat with my family when I was small have all of two litters one day unable to stand each other and scater to various places in the house I believe most of the scattering happens then in cats. Late 60's early 70's not recent we know better now. But some big cats break pattern and stay together as pairs in some cases even for the loner variety.

It’s like em and my sister but we don’t have babies when we I’m struggling with cleaning my room or the kitchen she helps me out and when she struggling with her depression I just sit in her bed and hug her because she doesn’t like to talk about stuff like that
The cutest thing. I've seen this before with my own cats but the difference is that one of my cats had lost her kittens as they were ill and other cat allowed her to share in the nursing of her kittens so she didn't feel the loss of her own. Wonderful examples of care and kindness.
Most felines are group creatures. They live communally and raise children communally. There are a few exceptions, which I hope a kind RUclipsr will list later, but it’s a pretty big thing in the Feline world.
I unexpectedly have a community of cats develop around my house over last 2 years. From one I found eyes still closed outside. we learned to take care of him bottle feeding every 2 hours. Now at epidemic level with 22 of them! I have learned so much more about them than I thought I did. Always a cat person. Now verging on crazy cat man! There needs to be more understanding of this beautiful creature.
Cheeto was not taking the babies she was giving her buddy girlfriend Mommy a break! What a friend! How beautiful is that?? All the babies got what they need and all the Mamas got what they needed.
Cheeto understood how hard and exhausting labor is and gave Mellow the day to recoup. That’s very sweet and intuitive. Mellow understood and gave her a break once she got some rest. Aweeeee
This is what feral outside cats due. It’s so cool they take care of each others kittens. & the other mother would take a break eat, play & bathroom, then relieve the mother sitting for her, so she could go do what she wants or needs & so on. I would not have believed they would do this as feral cats…it was amazing.
I was in my 20's when I learned it. I had a cat colony for several years. Whether related or not, if the cats accepted each other, all nursing moms would take care of all of the kittens as needed.Grandma cats nursing the kittens of her daughters; daughters nursing their younger siblings; siblings and strangers all helping out. I was blown away by the whole thing lol
Plus it’s what females do when they live in their colonies, a cat colony can have 50+ members coexisting; any of the mamas will watch another’s babies. Sometimes if there aren’t enough mama cats yet, the boys will take care of the kittens, for the mother and it’s usually the one with the best bond with the mama; they have to be from the same colony for this to work, without stressing the mama out. (Cows will ponder off their children with one cow, usually a cow that doesn’t have its own baby; it ends up being the 1 year old or one that hasn’t had a baby yet that gets the baby sitting job. Wolves will ponder off their new pups, with their older female children, if they don’t want to deal with their youngest offsprings.)
It takes a village... If animals were free, this is what we would see on a larger scale. This warms my heart. Thank you for being so attentive, so you could understand the situation then ultimately letting the mama's be Mama's. You have a Home full of love and trust. I absolutely love this story. @@Skelterbane69 If anything you need to get over yourself, because you're assuming we're/you're so special that you're part of the only species capable of feeling any of that.
By that logic it's instinct for us too, we're just more intelligent about how we go about that instinct. Mammals do have basic feelings like love, rage, sadness, etc. Assuming a cat hitting another cat for annoying it is instinct instead of some anger starting to manifest is illogical.
Idk about them having thoughts though, cause orange cats are some of the most brain dead cats I know lmao. Clearly no thought behind those eyes 9 times out of 10. But yeah, mammals do have emotions, we just have more of them because we're more intelligent than they are and are capable of processing things on a deeper level than them..
@@YourePotentiallyIncorrectyes a lot of What We do emotionally is based on instinct. Also the other writer never talked about this. It only said it was instinct a lot which it is. So I don’t get why that writer is being “attacked”
About cats having thoughts = logic. For sure they have. And I guess all is different my orange cat is really clever. He can turn lights on and off. Open drawers and doors. And I am pretty sure some of those behaviors is not coming from pure chance > good result behavior loop
Humans are literally just a species of African apes. Of course other animals have emotions. They're all just distant cousins of ours.
Mostly just mammals and birds though. Reptiles don't really have emotionally complex brains.

Since you said, they're cats. They don't "think", I simply asked the question "How do YOU KNOW they don't 'think'?" 🤷🏼♀️
And apparently, you DON'T know that, because as you will see stated in just this ONE article here, about cat research (of MANY) cats are a lot smarter than you give them credit: "Cats have highly developed and complex brains, which means THEY ARE CAPABLE OF COMPLEX PROBLEM-SOLVING AS WELL AS THINKING. Domestic cats still have many of the same instincts and traits as their wild ancestors, and they exhibit some complex and fascinating behaviors. And there’s plenty of science to back it all up."

I was just going to say this. It's NORMAL for sisters in a lion pride to take care of their sisters babies to allow the sister to hunt and drink and take a break. Not unusual at all.

There's nothing stupider than a "YT shorts" commenter. There ZERO chance that these cats will remain together. They will all be split up shortly you idiots!
