I’ve was sick for a long time. I watched every episode of all of the shows on motortrend. I’ve never seed plastic being stitched. So cool! Nice work. Nice vid!

I have had good results melting legos and MEK into a slurry and grinding a V into what I was repairing. Always from the inside though, had my 91 VFR painted in 06, $75.00 per panel, still looks great. Always admired the Genesis phil collins bikes.

Never thought of the legos but yeah they are abs plastic. I just get the premade rods and melt them in.

Yamaha is a company I love because they had the 1000cc superbike thing down years before others finally joined the liter bike competition. Suzuki & Kawasaki seemed to be focused on their 750's, Honda sportiest bike was their 600 and then their 900. If you wanted a liter bike, the FZR1000 was the bike and the GSXR1100 was too heavy (but maybe a great starting platform if you were into drag racing). My first gen CBR900RR was a nice reimagining of what a great superbike could be, but it isn't like there wasn't a great one already--the FZR1000. And to be honest with everyone, although I've had my bike for 30 years (come a few months), the FZR1000 had a higher top end, and more torque and more HP even disproportionately compared to the 900cc (more HP per cc). If the road was straighter, the FZR1000 would be the victor, whereas if it were a tight and technical track, then the CBR900RR would have the advantage. Anyways, that was the superbike king, the best bike, the best year, and when they would do tests like a Countach vs a top superbike, this was the bike they would choose to represent the best of what a superbike could be. 1989 FZR1000 in this scheme and a 1994 with black and orange and purple lines was also a nice version. I wouldn't have written this much if it weren't one of my top favorites. I hope a great collector / serious fan buys this one.

You nailed it not really anything else to add. I always thought the 900rr was more like an ama superbike. It would take a 900cc motor to match the 750 with all kinds of motor work so it had the feeling of a worked over superbike if it’s time. The fzr1000 kinda did it all right and kinda comfy too. Ride fast ride slow didn’t matter.

So, back in the day, I totaled a 93 Nighthawk and needed a new bike. I looked at a used 94 black/orange/yellow FZR1000, bear in mind, this was NJ. The insurance was 2000 dollars a year! I ended up buying a 91 VFR750 used from a shop that used to do my tires. I still have it and go to work on it too. Runs 150 when I want it to too. Pushing 100,000 miles.
