It's been 2 years since Japan has been able to hold the SR heritage meeting. Finally with restrictions loosening the SR Heritage meeting is back and the turn out was great. So many Silvia's and SR20's at one event!.
The Daishin S15 has a Nismo GT300 race engine and Nismo built tube chassis that was further modified by Daishin/TODA for JGTC racing. It's running a Dry-sump oil system with a Hewland sequential transmission. Engine and Xmsn are much closer to the ground. It's hardly an S15 anymore aside form outward appearance. The current owner of that car did not do any of the build of that engine. I wish you had asked the owner of the car about it instead of wondering.

@@1330dai nice to know that they still own it and have (somewhat) kept it in decent condition other than the tires lol. I had assumed it had sold to a collector. Even more of a reason he should have asked whoever owns it since they may have been involved in the car back when it was actually racing.

Those are actually SSR SP1 and not Work Meister S1.
Very sutble difference that you really see where the face is bolted to the lip/barrel. SSR is face mounted. Work wheels have the face sandwich mounted (lip on top)

Sammit as much as it pains me to say this with SR being my fav engine right behind the RB26.....SR's fucking suck lmao! They drive amazing, sound amazing but if you go a tad over 300hp youve just introduced yourself to a list of bullshit lol! Not that you need anymore than 300hp anyway but yea there isnt anybody that has owned an SR that hasnt blown up minimum of 5 trying to get that perfect reliable combination to last at the 350hp mark.
Imo the most fun drifting to watch and drive I feel is with cars under 500hp. Most engines ca be pretty reliable beaters around 350-400hp.

Can't be the only one bothered by the s13 described before the rps13... since it was also a rps13 with s13 front. I wouldn't call it a factory sil-80, but even that would have been closer than just s13. 😁 We all make mistakes sometimes, and to see all these S chassis is awesome.

My S13 Silvia is having a major SR overhaul - sad times as engine blew up on my mechanics - only had this car about a month

That big turbo 2.2L SR even with the huge turbo that comes on at 5,000 it's still reving out to 8400rpm. That's not really bad at all considering smaller turbo SR make power around 3500 up to 7000.

(The thing about those 'bras' for the noses of cars, (Yes, that's what they were called) is that over time they will get loose and scuff up paint, and if left on for extended periods, also trap moisture. That's why they aren't used anymore. I'd only put one on if you know you are going to be having stones kicked up on a particular drive. )
that orange Fiesta looks nice, so does the seafoam green 2 tone s13. i guess there are a few sileighties and their various forms/front clips. i seriously hope the government also makes a deal with Canada to travel and have no quarantine, 2x vaxed here.
