Potato: *Throws away 2 farming buildings. Also Potato: "I'm gonna re-roll in the hopes of getting a farming building" *Gets Farming building again. Me: "Never punished"
When it comes to service buildings, you have to consider the upfront benefit to be the global passive from having workers in the buildings, and then you try to find a way to produce the materials needed for the services. Right now you're running into a problem where you never get to service buildings until super late because you don't take the buildings to produce service materials because you have no use for them, then don't take the service buildings because you can't produce the services for them. This will become a huge problem when you play more difficult runs where the hostility/resolve multipliers are a lot higher.
@potato at 30:35. There is a way to do that. On the top right where your orders are there is a menu. From there you can supervies all your recepies without ever going to the buildings where they are used. It‘s INCREDIBLE handy and you definetly should start using that menu, it helps so much! You can also regulate how much of each good you want too have made and in witch building. You can also access this menu in your production buildings by clicking right on the recepie.
Your channel showed up when I was searching for Civilization 5 and 6 videos and I gotta say: your content is amazing, I really like the pace and gameplay, and you are very entertaining and I learn a lot :) This game appeared out of nowhere for me through another channel and I'm SALIVATING for it, definitely a day one buy for me, and I'm really happy to see that you are doing videos about it. Cheers, my man!
the weather cycle in this game reminds me a lot of the Stormlight Archive storms, very reliable storm, rain, sun cycle then the super storm comes. very cool
Unfortunate that this game doesn't get the views. I really enjoy both the game AND you playing it. Getting that ball to roll is what the game makes sooo fun. Keep it up!
not sure if i should be sad or happy that others get lucky with their rerolls ^^. really nice to see how you set you goal on farming this time. looking forward to see the next video.
When I first got the game I focused on grain but something that I ended up doing a lot was focusing lizards via the smokehouse and butcher. To that end focusing on herb and mushroom production was the way to go. I also tend to pick the workshop immediately. It does the 3 basic building materials well enough in one building so you can focus your other buildings around teching up your building chains. Or try to get 1 building with level 2-3 recipes for each of them like Sawmill, Brick Yard & Weaver. I forget a more nuanced one but it's like Provisioner, Carpenter and Furnace? The extra recipes provided by these buildings are also very useful.
More ATS content, huzzah! Very excited with all the content you put out, and I'm so stoked to see the reappearance of ATS on back to back to back days!
Hey Potato the mention of beavers excessively reminded me of Timberborn! You should do another mini series on a different clan in the game, it was quite enjoyable to watch!
I'm not thanking you. Tried the demo on Epic. Liked it. Bought it (-15% today!)... and so many hours of my life are going to be lived in front of my computer. :D
18:00 Hunter-Gatherer is actually insanely good, ii'd say easy the best pick of those 4. Pretty much all camp ressources give a base yield of 1, but the +50% Bonus instantly ups that to 2. This also extends the value you get out of your ressource nodes because the charges are used up per harvest action regardless of the amount harvested, therefore doubling most of your crucial limited available ressources and making fuel and resolve a non-issue with wood overflow
@@ilzow6031 Huh, nice. I always thought the game just gave you fractional yields. Edit: Forgot which game this was about, I just didn't know how it dealt with fractional yields.
What's the consequences of letting the AI settle those green cities? It seemed like you weren't too worried about them making that second city on the left of the map.
I just want to say that this village would smell terrible: All the citizens eat are eggs and vegetables, leading to the most raunchy protein farts ever
I was thinking I might get this, but it seems like it has the same problem I have with civ 6, theres just too many mechanics to keep my attention and wanting to play. Edit: not that I dont like civ 6 or enjoy watching it played ♥️
Potato: *Throws away 2 farming buildings.
Also Potato: "I'm gonna re-roll in the hopes of getting a farming building"

Me: "Never punished"
Yeah every time I pull that maneuver I spend the rest of the game without a farm.
These episodes cannot come out fast enough. This game is fascinating.
Use code POTATOMCWHISKEY and play it yourself :P
Very, but be careful it will suck your time away without you noticing.
Couldn't agree more - I haven't been able to stop playing!!
Potato is rolling the ball up the hill recently with all these killer videos
I like to think it's just one massive potato
The ball is rolling up!

looking forward to see the next video.
Biggest compliment I can give to both you and the devs, these vids actually made me buy something on the Epic Store for the first time.
It's been a while since I've been so excited about trying out a game from seeing gameplay on YT. This looks so so fun
This is by far my favorite content you've put out recently. Please keep making it.
Oh nice, another AtS episode! Loving this content! Hope you'll make more :)

Really enjoying watching you play this game! hope to see more of it, even after you finish this map cycle!
Pleeease keep these videos coming, it's such a great watch
Absolutely went and downloaded this demo based off watching you play! Kudos to you!!!
Would love a full series on this! And the longer episodes are great
I've never seen this game... I look forward to watching this 😁👌
I just can't with him turning down the lizard time quest for the hammers needed to do the explosion and still making it in time
And passing up a farm only to get lucky on a reroll
For the Fuming Machinery you could've used sparkdew, two generators crank out quite enough to solve it in time
Happy to see the series return!
Man got so stoked to play this and realized it isn't even out til Q4.
This game is so fun to watch you play! Keep it up!
Hey Potato the mention of beavers excessively reminded me of Timberborn! You should do another mini series on a different clan in the game, it was quite enjoyable to watch!
The way you won the game was so funny to me. You just stock up some fuel and the bar just starts zoomin to the finish line
Letssss go! Get to watch this on my train ride home after a 17 hour work day! I am ready for it!
I can't tell what exactly you're doing right, but you got me really excite over this coming game.
I don't mind this becoming a regular series. it's like civ 6 but fast.
I'm not thanking you. Tried the demo on Epic. Liked it. Bought it (-15% today!)... and so many hours of my life are going to be lived in front of my computer. :D
This game is really cool, happy to see you play it again
Spat my beverage out at "beaver heavy opening"!
This is my crack
Woah you're playing dangerously, I love it.
Keep making videos! Its not out on steam yet so I can only play by watching you.
I cannot wait for this game to be out on Steam

Wouldn't +50% be 1.5?
@@aaronsirkman8375 it would, but you cant collect half ressources so the game rounds up
@@ilzow6031 Huh, nice. I always thought the game just gave you fractional yields.

Maaaan, this map is psychodelic! My eyes are almost bleeding :-D
I love this series, please more.
Q: does this game have F-key charts like in other strategy games?
Got this game recently, and it's tougher than it looks, hoping this vids will teach me some things aha
I have no idea why but youtube stopped recommending you for a few days so now I gotta catch up on against the storm
Actually didnt know about the housing tip and fulfilling needs. But yeah you can keep pumping these out if youd like 😁
AtS-video just dropped.
Happy to see another episode
Oil is the best sacrifice for resolve.
Love this series so much!
been watching a bit of this and still have no idea how this game works. a let's play or tutorial would be good
This game looks really interesting, can't wait for the steam release..
I don't know if you just got insanely lucky rolls, but either way you played that like a champ!
Kinda curious if he’s played more recently, bc I forgot that harpies were added
question, why isnt 10% walk speed valuable, it acts almost as increase productivity by 10% since they move a lot..
4:39 "bithcuith"
Missed opportunity to call this episode: The Coral Forest is a pathway to many abilities some would consider unnatural
In a word, MORE!
Loved seeing you play this game first time round, loving it again now.
Don't you dare stop again
What's the consequences of letting the AI settle those green cities? It seemed like you weren't too worried about them making that second city on the left of the map.
Playing the experimental and release version?
I hope we will have a stream of the game someday
I just want to say that this village would smell terrible: All the citizens eat are eggs and vegetables, leading to the most raunchy protein farts ever
Another one?! Yaaahooo!
Psst hey potato you can upgrade your hearth with decorations…
Comments for the Storm God
love you and this game
Not turning in deeds for rewards triggers me a bit.
Went to buy the game but it says your creator code is invalid for this title :(
Is this Civ7?
BEAVERS INBOUND!!
Tried it on very hard not smart when you dont have any upgrades for queens anger. and harpies are annoying.
I need more content
I was thinking I might get this, but it seems like it has the same problem I have with civ 6, theres just too many mechanics to keep my attention and wanting to play.
Edit: not that I dont like civ 6 or enjoy watching it played ♥️
First like, then watch
the game looks so awesome too bad that theyre on epic
Humans don't eat pickles - Review 0/10
Here. Have a like on me. I want to see more of this.
You keep mentioning harpies, but I've played for 10 hours now (your fault) and haven't seen any evidence they exist
