    Knowing the LAB color space is essential to understanding color management. LAB color is the common denominator is communicating between RGB and CMYK color space. LAB is device-independent, meaning it is the only way to communicate a color's known value across multiple devices and industries.

    Hello guys, do you know if we should adjust black, white, contrast, ex... on camera RAW/Lightroom before converting a picture to LAB color space (photoshop) or should we do all the adjustment in the LAB color space?

    is there any software that I can use to make L*a*b* color graphic? The one which has a feature to custom the l*a*b* value and then displays the color graphic based on the value we input

      Photoshop allows you to work in a variety of colour space including Lab

    I guess the definitions are a bit different for printing and visualization then. In visualization a is from green(-) to b for red (+), and depends on the bit depth it could be -127 to +128 value.

      I beleive you are confusing grey scale with Lab.

    Magenta to CYAN? WRONG...the A axis is the GREEN to MAGENTA AXIS.....not a stop light green but a TEAL GREEN....

      Generally a scale is Red-Green and b scale is Blue-Yellow.
