Nine out of ten old violins I've found in antique shops, yard sales, in peoples attics have a label that says "Strativarios". LOL I don't understand why they are considered so valuable I find them everywhere 😅😊😂
I had to laugh at the title of this video. As one who lives with literalism, my first thought was, 'If they claimed that had found a new Stradivarius, then it would have to be a fake!' That out of the way, thanks for the series. 🙂👍
Thank you I would if possible mail photographs of your instrument to the Hill Brothers in England they have touched many Stradivari instruments and know them intimately and of the original owners records may be able to attribute your Stradivari to a provenance or record document. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY CHARGE FOR SUCH AN INSPECTION BUT DEPENDING ON YOUR ON
A violin can really be a good violin without being a Stradivari. I doubt you would have filmed a real Stradivari carelessly over a chair. If you want to impress us, play it! Violin do not need to cost millions of dollars in order so sound good. Not everybody needs a Stradivari to feel good about his violin. I believe some people actually think "Stradivari" is just a term synonymous with "good sounding violin". That is not the case!
20th century. rough. good looking wood.

At least take a reamer to the peg box so the pegs go all the way through the tapered holes.

I,m an electric guitar player, but I find these fascinating.
Maravilloso Violín , es una Copia modelo Stradivarius muy interesante ..
Made in Germany in the early 1900.
yes a strad made in germany,,,,, they suppose be made in italy,, also the pegs look like plastic to me.
Isn't a Strativarios Italian? Not German.
Wow! It looks like it was made yesterday. Must be the best preserved Strad ever. Worth million$
Especially the varnish looks like made in Germany about 1950-1980

Well, it definitely has been played..
And def. NOT a Strad.
This violin is beautiful but it's not a Stradivari. It was made in Saxony or Bohemia. The wood is very beautiful and the condition is really good.
Good eye !!!
Sure is a shiny old "Stradivarius" ... and I think he used that flower label in all of his fiddles!
