Was hun bestaan ff vergeten tot ik vorige week met mijn fysio over die lekkere oude muziek sprak. Toen herinnerde ik mij weer aan Alquin. Heb het live album Alquin Crash in 70s gekocht. heerlijke muziek
Het live album was 'Alquin On tour'. Crash was een verzamel-dubbelalbum. Staan hier beide in de kast..😊
helemaal verslaafd aan deze groep. GEWELDIG
Clearly remember first time i heard this in the early eighties while standing outside a building. Took me days to find someone who was inside and played this track by just describing the song.
Must have been labeled 'total nut job' by many i asked, but totally worth it !!!!
Ik had de eer om Alquin live te zien in RASA in Utrecht ergens in 1973 of 1974. Daar speelden I wish I could meteen na The Dance.... Nog steeds kippevel.

They are the best Dutch band ever, deserve a place between Pink Floyd and Camel, listen also to the Dance, The Mountain Queen and Soft Eyed Woman WAAAAAUUUWWWW!!!!
I like them a lot, too, but I wouldn't put them on No. 1 of the Dutch ranking list: There are some more top bands such as Golden Earring, Focus , Earth & Fire, Kayak, Water, outstandingly expressive 'white' blues bands (Cuby&the Blizzards, Livin' Blues), wouldn't you agree?...
Yes you ate right Helmut, these were also great dutch bands.
Became a fan of Golden Earring on the end of the sixties. Never saw a band who impressed me live more.
Their eight miles live performance (45 minutes song) is legendary.
Unfortunately they had to stop just recently because of the fact that George Kooijmans got the illness ALS.
He lives in Belgium like me just two km from me and is a great guy.
He also wrote the first hit (seasons) for Earth and Fire.
The Earring are the dutch Rolling Stones and they deserve also the first place of dutch band.
Missed the band "Solution" whoch was also a great band.
Focus was also awfull indeed with dutch best guitarist Jan Akkerman.
He played in Brainbox before.
Plays solo after Focus, my favourite album of him is "The art of Noise" .
Listen to the nr 6 ""Prima Donna".
Loved the Blues bands Cuby and the Livin Blues also very much.

Thank you- I love you- uploaded this fantastic Song! I'm search since 1972 for this- recorded on a Tape from a Radio Station SWF 3- now SWR 3 on a Saba Tape recorder- . Spend my Holiday in 1974 in France in a Campinplace in St Rapahel-Le val Fleury- and find a friend-I was 14 and he was 10- and we listen to this song. Togheter we written down the lyricks. Since them I look forworded to this song. I have cut the record at the end. A friend of mine give me a tip today 13.3.19, to look at this band. This was a hit! A wonderfull lyriks and a very full impressive Instrumentation- Now- I get in tears and I can die!
