The Carrière de Barges near Tournai is probably one of the largest and prettiest quarries dedicated to scuba diving in Belgium.
My first deep dive at - 40 m with a festival of carp, pike and tench on the way back... What could be better ?
Barges' career has great assets:
Clear water most of the time.
Particularly well adapted to deep air diving.
Close to the center of Tournai
Various depths with a Max at -50m
Lots of life ( Pikes - Carps - Eels - Tench - Catfish - Crayfish - Poles .... )
Safety: to be provided (Safety hoist with O2 + reserve block equipped)
