You know, if you add an extra one of the large granny squares to one of the panels that wraps from back to front, then it would be a wrap-around skort!
Ok I made a second pair and a few adjustments! I made the back panels one size bigger than the front, because I have wide hips and a big butt for more coverage. It worked great! I also did one pair with trim and one without, and they’re really fun to color block with. Love these!!!
Being kind of an intermediate level, this took me a few hours, mainly because I had some color and yarn issues, but they turned out beautiful and they’re so easy to make. I really only needed the how to on measuring and where to seam together, and your video is great!!!

I love this! Thank you for the pattern inspo! I think I’ll try it with just rounds of double crochet instead of actual granny stitch in order for them to be less holey. 🤔 Although like as a swimsuit coverup or similar function, a kind of see through stitch is probably totally fine and cute.
I saw the short to this , and thought wow . They way you show us and speak so clearly to us is amazing , and easy to follow for us not so good at crocheting lol thank you 🙏 ❤
Oh my goodness THANK YOU so much for creating these beautiful shorts and this excellent and proficient tutorial! The shorts are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! These are perfect for a swim suit cover up, and would probably be very comfortable for wearing to sleep in the summer. I am subscribed and am most certainly also interested in other versions of shorts that are "less see through" for everyday wear. Also interested in skirts and pants (confession- realistically my interest in full coverage skirts and pants would be higher for the colder weather in Canada lol) Again, thank you so much for sharing such beautiful work!!! 😍
If you want to keep the wrap around look while being slightly less see through, all you need to do is make a different type of square! Solid and super-solid granny squares can be used instead to have almost no holes at all

Love it! I’m crocheting this currently and my large squares are definitely larger than 18 inches. She said that if it is then you may only want you expand the rest of the length on the sides to keep them short. Would this only be on one side of the square, or two? And since the granny square starts in the middle of one side how do you recommend filling in the other half?
I think you could easily distribute your rows between the two sides of the square or all on one side. So long as you don’t add rows on the top and bottom of the square:)
