Birmingham will always and forever be home! We were so glad when the interstate had finished! Now that the world games is coming and the stadium being built along with the upgrades at the BJCC center downtown in the uptown district, Birmingham can handle its growing pains! Birmingham has transformed since I’ve moved there in 2010! Birmingham is on the move! We adore the country living with the hint of the city. We don’t want to be like Atlanta at all and the governor has made some very great decisions on maintaining the interstate. Also, the oldest stretch of 59/20 is in the process of being repaved. After the airport going 59 north, that will soon be six lanes beginning in 2021.
The work in downtown Birmingham was really impressive. The old interchange was an absolute nightmare. You did a pretty good job driving, nice work to stay in the right lanes.
Thanks! Yes, the work they're doing in Birmingham is impressive and desperately needed from what I could see. Hopefully the rest of the project will turn out well.
Regarding 20/59, there isn't much traffic (especially compared to 280 0r I-65, or maybe even 31) due to little to no growth in that area. Should Tuscaloosa and Birmingham join to become a new metro (which will happen), 20/59 will definitely need to be upgraded.
Nice work on the video. Between the improvements at the I-65 interchange as well as the new viaduct, Birmingham looks to have improved their downtown freeway network considerably.

That variable-colored overhead sign is awesome. I hope that more states take advantage of using them. :)
Yes, those are really neat and useful.
