Thanks for another great video Chet. It was interesting. Loved your big big big grass seed spreader. But it did the job do what the heck. The old drag did its job also. The flowers are planted. Yea. You started soybeans for 2023. Yea. Seemed to go good for you and Brody. Eric has the new grain cart in hand. So ready to go. Good day. No problems. Thanks for everything. The Iowa Farm Boy.
With that much bean loss till it up and have one done for next year. Seeing you guys out reminds me of when l farmed. Keep it going and be safe out there
Sorry to hear about all those beans on the ground. Maybe buy one of those large truck vacuum they use to clean out the drains on the road and modify with a large wide cone about 40' wide and vacuum up all the beans until the tank is full then just feed it into the combine to clean them and wall ah! no beans lost. Works great when hail busts those pods open just before harvesting! Can't hurt. Who wants to increase their crop insurance? Hang in there.
I’ve been harvesting beans since 9:30 this morning. I come home at 9:30 at night and what do I do? Binge watch Larson Farms because I’m behind a couple episodes
I get a kick out of Eric and his cousin (I have a hard time remembering Name's) cause the both of them knows what their doing. I've be proud of all of the Larson family.
Hello Chet!! I was watching a recent video where Brody was underneath his grain head trying to get the door open to empty the black dirt . My concern is he was underneath the header and the orange safety lock was not in place on the hydraulic cylinder. Just an observation on my part as it would not be good if the header would happen fall on him. I enjoy your videos and just want to make sure you guys work safe!! Thank you!! Jon Appelfeller
Actually, there may have been a benefit to rolling that field before you surface spread that seed. Then roll it again after you ran the drag on it. That’s what I do when I’m planting food plots, especially with small seeds like clover, alfalfa and turnips.
Chet, some slow winter day later this year, please give a rundown again of your family that participates on the farm. Does Brody have kids? When are you getting married? I have seen your brother's vehicle stuck in the snow, but not him on the farm, is he part of the operation? What is the history of you and Big Swede? Are you life long friends?
Brody has children. He is getting married in December. His brother is not part.of the farming operations. Big Swede is.a.long time.friend from school days.
That little seed spreader wasn't meant for Polaris tractor acreage farming - it's what Ma and Pa Kettle use for their back yard! Let's rent a crop duster airplane and get this show on the road!
While it would blow all sorts of dust and stuff as well could you not set the wind system a little lower so that the white combined stuff got blown into the green combine? Might not get a lot but every little helps.
You guys should wright down sequence of steps to run the equipment. Next season your Johnny on the spot. To much stuff to remember this day and age for farmers. It's a wonder that your breakers don't pop.
Why is it that when you park for the night you leave the headers in the air. Coming from the excavation world when I park I set all my buckets to the ground. Thought being it takes the weight off of the hydraulics and prevent an accident if a hose were to fail.
Don’t mean to be the safety police but it appears u forgot to lock the header cylinder while working under..15 years ago i lucked out when a hose blew, always put the lock out down
Can’t wait for next year’s follow up video with the results of the flower field!
They should put some hives out there.
Eric is never a fool. Just a very entertaining young man.
Love the videos. Keep up the work. All the way from South Africa
Everything is better with a good crew of people, you definitely have that, good job fellas
Chet Eric Broodie that was great explanations were good thank you for sharing and your time was really great never seen you plant flowers before Chet
Please use the lock when you go under header
Thanks for another great video Chet. It was interesting.

Awesome video Chet. 🚜🚜🚜
I Agree. His partnership with the editor is spot on. Great story telling.
Eric, all the information you share is very important
🇺🇸Larson Farm’n
😎
Love the overview of the farm, looks like a perfect little model!
Not that little.
@@MaryWehmeier - 😂🤦🏻♀️🤣
Erik the common sense guy. The electronics that control the machines is amazing.
I love the new intro with no snow !! Looks great !
Love the videos guys!
Love it when the videos are in real time - as in relative to work going on now. Not so good when it’s summer and a winter video drops.
What a nice feeling, like being out in the field and just starting to harvest! I can almost smell it! Thank you!
Wow those beans were rough. But listening to y’all talk about what you do as far as planting grass and putting on fertilizer. Thank you
I have helped plant several conservation areas and even planted my own prairie. Never have I drug the field-always had success.
With that much bean loss till it up and have one done for next year. Seeing you guys out reminds me of when l farmed. Keep it going and be safe out there
The insurance folks make the decision.
Nice new shed!!
Finally got that new intro drone pic! Farm looks good! Almost winter again!
All of you guys are doing a great job!
Neat idea on the wildflowers. We used to do that. Those down beans are brutal. Sad loss guys.
Man I would love to be up there for harvest and tillage with you guys! I miss that kinda work!
Sorry to hear about all those beans on the ground. Great video. You guys do great work and know what you’re doing. 👍❤️
Thanks for the video watching from Reno NV
looks like Brody's not having a good day sad I thought you guys had a great day every day be safe god bless
SO Sorry about your beans.. Hope the insurance will at least cover your cost. Thank you guys so much.
USE THE CYLINDER STOPS ON THE BEAN HEAD. PLEASE.
To bad about the hail damage. Another great video
Looking good!
That Pro Force would be great in the winter to put gravel down over the ice in the yard!
Chet you need to get you a set of Knippex Pliers Wrench. Best adjustable wrench ever. Sooooo useful, and better than toothed pliers on nuts/bolts.
Very entertaining and informative. Keep up the great content.
Between you all you need to invent a vacuum to pickup the shelled beans. Love watching the videos
I have been saying that for years with our edibles and pintos .the horror of loss…😅
Deer food.
You need to plant milkweed for the monarchs
a harvest timelaps would be cool

I can't believe how different your Farm looks now.

Enjoyed watching the video Chet 😊
Magnifique matériel agricole et les tracteur et les moissonneuse batteuse et les coupes sont bien équipés 😮😅😊😂

Literally just finished the latest Salford video
Must be nice too be back on the harvest wagon.
Please use the ram safety locks when going under the header
I thought that too, that would be one god awful mess and so easily avoidable
Ending beans on 240 acres Big white combine. 7.6 bu/ acre.
With all the beans on the ground you should just till them in and save on seeds for next year
Most efficient seeding operation ever witnessed
Big Sweed needs to bring us in more. Come on man!
Great video
Great video. Sorry about the hail. Hopefully you all can break even and and make some profit on the soy beans.
Crop insurance.
Should have a field vacuum unit that can pick the bean's up off the ground.
Most counties have seeders you can rent for a few dollars
That hail damaged bean field, is where you’ll need to setup a blind and goose/duck hunt it.

Brody has children. He is getting married in December. His brother is not part.of the farming operations. Big Swede is.a.long time.friend from school days.
You need a vacuum head to pick up the fallen beans.
Should’ve had them put a seeder on that salford like they did for ivers farms. Lol. Great vid like always
Header saftey lock saves lives when you need to work under the header.
Be safe
Well what’s dougo going to need the seeder for now 🤷🏻♂️ he has a professional lawn service that did amazing on his home lawn 💁♂️😉😂
In that field, just the Lord providing for the animals just ad he provides for us.
Go chris!
All you needed to do was turn the hitch upside down to raise it LOL
Need to go over it with your land roller to smooth it up and pack the grass seed in.
Back in the late ‘60’s, a good crop of soybeans was 35+ bu. In central Illinois. That was before hybrid bean seed.
Now the whiners complain about GMO seeds.
Soybeans are open pollinated , not hybrid.
They grow round up ready beans correct?@@lynwessel2471
Sorry about the hail. Hope it is the only field that really got it bad. Take Care.
Guess the Larsons should have kept an old grain drill too 😂😂
That little seed spreader wasn't meant for Polaris tractor acreage farming - it's what Ma and Pa Kettle use for their back yard! Let's rent a crop duster airplane and get this show on the road!
Set up a deer stand in the flower field
Guys flip the receiver hitch to the up position
Make that air reel touch the ground and blow the beans on the ground into to header just a try
You need a gleemer to clean up after those beans.
While it would blow all sorts of dust and stuff as well could you not set the wind system a little lower so that the white combined stuff got blown into the green combine? Might not get a lot but every little helps.
Use your grain vac to vacuum the field. That shouldn't take long.😀
Want that 60 bushel fields
How about vacuum just in behind the sickle using your header blower and reiterate to the header
Loss of beans bad
To suck up the loss
Farming simulator for real. 😀👍
You should've turned that hitch upside down for that spreader.
I had one of those spreaders, junk only lasted about 3 years, rusted out!
You guys should wright down sequence of steps to run the equipment. Next season your Johnny on the spot. To much stuff to remember this day and age for farmers. It's a wonder that your breakers don't pop.
Flip the hitch in the sxs
Would u prefer the tracks over the tires?
I was thinking to hook the spreader to your side by side. Would a clevis work or no?
Why is it that when you park for the night you leave the headers in the air. Coming from the excavation world when I park I set all my buckets to the ground. Thought being it takes the weight off of the hydraulics and prevent an accident if a hose were to fail.
Had a thought get your skid steer out what the vacuum cleaner suck all the beans😂😂😂😂😂
Drop the cylinder stop Brodey... takes two seconds!!!! and ye, everyone everywhere this year is cutting green steamed beans...
Talk to Laura at lower farms. They got a lot of hail damage on their corn.
Don’t mean to be the safety police but it appears u forgot to lock the header cylinder while working under..15 years ago i lucked out when a hose blew, always put the lock out down
Turn that hitch insert over . 🤷♂️
Dam the white combine, you didn’t need that
Does Deere make a bean vacuum? Sorry for your loss
Seeding the flowers and grass for CRP?
Good years and not so good
What's that Red bar down there on the hydraulic lift ram?
A lock for transport or when you work underneath it so it doesn’t crash down if a hose breaks!
@wesadrian6981 Sorry. I just to had to say something about not using lock bar. Always use it like you say. You never know
Yessir
sorry to hear the white combine hit you guys that bad
You guys should really put the cylinder stop down if you are going to be working underneath the bean head heard of guys getting killed before
