Back to the Future is a 1985 American science fiction film directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Zemeckis and Bob Gale. It stars Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover, and Thomas F. Wilson. Set in 1985, it follows Marty McFly (Fox), a teenager accidentally sent back to 1955 in a time-traveling DeLorean automobile built by his eccentric scientist friend Emmett "Doc" Brown (Lloyd), where he inadvertently prevents his future parents from falling in love - threatening his own existence - and is forced to reconcile them and somehow get back to the future.

In the story when there's only one story there's only 15 but you're forgetting 16 which is for those stories that have to be split into three act structures or sequels or more than that it's called image 16 the cliffhanger doc comes back from the future telling Marty he has to do something about his kids and brings his girlfriend Jennifer along he reveals that the car can fly and they set off on their next adventure with image one story two. Each one of Back to the Future part 2 is that same scene and they go to the Future to save his kids. In part one storyline now it's known as image 16 the cliffhanger.

Yes you can say that as it's a lead for part 2 which is a new beginning kept in movies so they can take them if the movie is a hit.
