Thanks for the demo mate. I agree they sound dull but that’s because of the NadIR loader. By default, the LO PASS is set to 8khz, or maybe even 6khz if I remember rightly. Most people don’t know this when using it. Took me a while to figure it out 😂. Set it to 20khz then try the cab IR’s. Top end will become way more present! Hope that helps. 🍻

could these be loaded into a two notes captor x? i own a 4x12 cab from arachnid and if it simulates the same tone i would like to throw that in for silent recording. just learning how to record im still new to this
Good question. I guess one big thing is if you have a preference to V30’s or Eminence. If you like more traditional cab sounds like Mesa’s etc, maybe the Holt. If you want something bigger sounding, more brutal, I’d do the oversize. Especially paired with like Engl tones

Absolutely man. You could also take that captor X to gigs if you wanted, and instead of mic’ing your cab, you could just run a line out to FOH.

Most of these sound dull. They're either too fizzy or too muffled and muddy. The raw sounds must have been worse. 🤷♂
