I’m pretty sure you can change the wheels to have more grip, but sacrificing speed in doing so. Also a hatch on the roof of the cab would be nice so that you can get out in the water without turning your cab into a swimming pool.

Yes a hatch is definitely on the list of this to add!
You don't really need temp sensor on modular engine. Just use composite node on ch. 3
temp sensor is more simple
change the type of tire for now
