@Kris Nicholson Being able to put it together and doing good, proper welds is different whoever. A big blob of weld might look strong, but that makes for some big stress points that might crack the metal just above the welds. You wouldn't want that. Welding will likely also screw up any heat treatment to the metal so to minimize this if it's a requirement of the material, you gotta do it right and prepare well. Leaving blobs underneath the welds also adds weak spots, wrong gas on a MIG/MAG welding process will screw all up and so on. A great skilled welder is very well paid for a reason, and any proper engineer would give him/her the deserved value as well, from knowing how important that job is.

you can see its right front tire that gets off the bead on that bmw. he is even steering right when its going left. i bet it somehow bent a rod when tire came off and that forced rim to carve into track and push it to the left.

And?? Clouting the wall like the Datsun and VW did a HANS may be a help. The rest probably a hindrance. HANS is only usefull with a frontal accident. Any other a hindrance. The simple foam horse collar worn properly is better in most accidents. And cheap.
Always hate to see but a good video 1320 when I've seen everyone of these mishaps in 2019 threw 1320video. Cant wait for an even bigger and better everything 2020.

I’ve watched this a few times when it first came out. A couple things: 1: how come the boogeyman v honey badger wreck isn’t on the list? Pretty intense, especially with what happened to the car and trailer after. 2: we not gonna talk about how tough the radiators in numbers 5 & 3? Lol. 3: the bmw v gtr crash, is the gtr now covered with insurance cause the Beamer hit him? Lol. Good job guys. Going through and watching some good vids again. 🤙🏻
The cutless hurt to watch when it happened. They took a long time getting him out and updating the viewers. Beautiful car. The hot rod was another scary wreck but it looks to dissipate energy better than the wall wall hit. Nice top ten.

#10 finished the year with the new car by going to the final of the biggest race on the west coast on it’s debut. Glad the old one was built well enough to allow Norm to walk away and race another day!
I knew the car that took #1 was going to be in there somewhere. That was an insane accident. But just as impressive was the cage being intact as it was. His attitude was awesome too the fact that he was going to fix it to race another day. A true inspiration in my book!
Props to everyone who were on the scene, and to the drivers with the amount of skill they have they were able to correct the cars enough to lessen the impact.

That first GTR looked like he lost a headgasket. Been there done that but it stayed straight. Coolant was everywhere. Car was covered head to toe in coolant.
#6 Jawbreaker Ascona blew a headgasket and wet the tires. Really felt like a punch to the gut knowing the problem last year missing Drag week due to delays in shipping. Magnus pointed out that he prefers concrete walled tracks, and #1 shows why.
I like the fact that after the Swedes totaled the Opal at DW, the Aussies zip tied the grill from it onto their 69 Chevelle, so it would finish the week, or at least part of it would.
We have a Civic that wrecked at the Haltech WCF!! Pretty much everything wrecked at that event 🤣🤣 The amount of crashes in those rounds and qualifying was absolutely ridiculous.
For all who think "he should've", unless you've wrecked at well over 100mph save it because the rules change a little, they all handled it great (parachute after the wall a little funny though). God bless the drivers and the roll cage tech's!!! #1 such a beautiful car, breaks your heart.

Great video and do admit like the fact about safety regulations on the track just sad it doesn't cross over to the street as way to many high HP cars with no saftey and noob drivers and yes 150bhp can still be lots to some people...As we all know its more entertaining to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow
