- This is going to make limited sense if you haven’t seen the movie lololol Baz Luhrmann is a wonderfully visual director, which makes some of Moulin Rouge’s absurder plot points and stylistic flourishes a little hard to um ‘put down in words’.
HOWEVER IF, like me, you’re more than happy to be inside [something vaguely resembling] its world for a brief moment, then hopefully you’ll find something in here to like. Plenty I wish I'd done better here buT HEY HO...

Why are you whispering at me?!
#ASMR is an acronym commonly used to describe the “tingly” sensation associated with certain audio/visual stimulae - often whispering/soft-spoken voice, and other quiet “triggers”. It's a similar feeling to 'frisson' - the shivers that run up your spine when watching an incredible scene in a film, or really /feeling/ amazing music. It's the best.

I was completely bewitched, immersed, everything about it is incredible Atlas. The typewriter, the echoed voice, the pacing of your words, the emotion and your amazing voice... just...wow.
Also, while watching my roomate asked "what movie is that? I like the vibe", which just speaks for itself.
The irony is the majority of the movie has the complete opposite vibe to this! It’s actually really interesting to hear just (mostly) the narration put together without the rest.
In the context of a movie, I think the word your roommate wanted was "atmosphere."

I love your old type writer sound. It sound so old school and I never seen one of those when I was a kid.
I wasn't really into the film. Found it too flambuoyant. Atlas gives the words more meaning imo!

This isn't ASMR anymore... This is a truly ✨masterpiece✨: yes, the videos of Atlas are relaxing, but he do also a great story telling; in the majority of the creations he made there is also a deepest message, in my opinion. This video almost made me cry, because it's very sweet and at the same time heartbreaking... And the echoes of the songs in the background! 😳

I have neither heard of this film nor book before, but I can say that I am now interested in watching/reading them. The aesthetic of this video is truly phenomenal as well. The typing is fantastic as well, usually, it's too loud or crisp when typewriters are used in asmr but you balanced it perfectly here. Another truly phenomenal video!
It’s a classic. I hated it the first time I watched it because it’s so weird, but El Tango de Roxanne was one of the best sequences I’ve ever seen in any movie and I kept rewatching it for that scene. The more I watched it, the more I liked it and now it’s one of my favorites.

This is a beautiful tribute to Moulin Rouge using ASMR. The mood with sombre colours and a doleful moon are precisely right. The set and costume was as it should be. I half expected you to sing. For me, the most realistic image and sound was of you typing. To make an old typewriter sound like it’s being used by a typist made be happy. Knowing how to hit each key with the right force is magical. To make it sound like sentences were being typed was a walk in the past. I couldn’t have slept through it first time around. Maybe after a few times of playing it I won’t be pulled into different memories. Thank you for such a powerful video. 🫠
