So well explained thank you for this! I would probably rush it and made all the mistakes possible but you’re really good at giving warnings on troubleshooting, clay is expensive and I feel you just saved me some money and frustration ahead, thanks again!
Wonderful video...I've applied over 100 lbs of the Chavant hard clay and used a small toaster oven, and often times got the clay too hot...if I paid close attention I could get it out in a spreadable form. I didn't think of the light bulb box. Where did you buy the clay scrapers, having a hard time finding them again, I had a set but lost through moving.
Hi Carl, glad you liked the video I'm glad it helped you. The clay sculpting tools I'm using were made custom for us at the college I teach in. I'm a prototype model maker and shop instructor in the industrial design program here in the college. We have an automotive design section in the program. There is a guy in Windsor Ontario who is a retired Clay sculpture from GM who makes these kits for us and a few other automotive design schools around North America. They are not available to the general public sorry. Chavant tools in New Jersey sells an 8 piece Clay sculpting kit on their website. We used to buy it but it got too expensive for us with the exchange rate. Hope this helps. Thanks again for watching.
@@shopguythechannel1944 I bought several of his tools years ago and have mis-placed 2-3 of them so was hoping they are still available. I'll just make some more. Thanks for the reply.
