- My 1999 Toyota Camry, Which I Now Own, is a Car, I Guess.
It's got nearly 200,000 miles on it, so it's certainly a lil bit of a beater, and honestly, i don't really care about it one bit. well, i do, but only to keep it working. the car is NOT the v6 sadly, instead it has a 2.2l inline 4cyl making roughly 120hp, paired to a 5 speed automatic transmission, i think. overall, it's slow, slightly broken, but surprisingly has working AC, which means it meets all my requirements for a daily driver. i love it. hope y'all enjoy ykwis!

my dad had a manual one of these for like 16 years, drove it for 270k miles and he sold it with a small oil leak. wish i got it from him... awesome car

Hi Franz

@@jacobfuckingjones You cant kill those old toyotas
When the day comes you should put "no complaints" on your tombstone
imma have to do just that but also make my tombstone a bench that ppl can smoke on 👌👌
It hurts to see this. I LOVE my 2000 Toyota Camry. It's the only thing I can afford at the moment, and I've always loved the design of it! I actually GREW UP with this Camry. I was a teenager age 15 when we got our first Camry with this design, how dare you be rude to it and make fun of it 😞.

Start of the video killed me bro 😭. Pulled up over the grass hopped out and nailed the “Alrighty so” Top tier content right here- wishing you good health
You should see my plumber's green 1998 Camry LE. It's a pure Rust Bucket (former New Hampshire vehicle), very rough looking, parked outside in humid South Jersey, smoker's car. But it has almost 300k miles and still runs!
That was badass intro ngl
hell yuh glad to hear 😎😎

Congrats man!! I'm so SO happy to see these good things happening. Always love. Keep it up!!
Jacob thanks for your video, My daddy used to drive the same car when I was a baby, expect it was the CE trim.
It's actually not bad. I'll BET the radiator was NOT damaged when the bumper was hit. They eventually get a crack in the top, usually in the same place even the replacements do. The heat, cool cycles. Add anti freeze into the overflow tank. It has a full mark on it. IF, you ever need to replace the timing belt, change the water pump and the two pulleys for the belt. You're at the milage too that the cam seal may leak. So I'd change the cam, crank, and oil pump seals too. Be SURE to change the oil pump seal too. It's like an O ring type material, and they fail after so long. I learned that the hard way. I've owned a 99 camry for over 12 years. They're VERY reliable. Mine has over 260,000 miles. Oh, they're easy to work on too. I'd check that lower control arm on passenger side to see if it got knocked or pushed a little in her wreck, maybe even bent, for alignment issues.
I'll add, parts at Toyota are very well priced compared to aftermarket. I've had very good luck with them. That's where I got all the timing belt parts, water pump and seals and gaskets from. It's a non interference engine, so IF the belt breaks, the engine is NOT destroyed. Happy travels.
Love these videos Jacob, keep it up man. 🔥
glad you enjoy man , i gotchu !!
Got the same car. It was given to me because my uncle didn't need it anymore. After 20 years getting back in a hoopty, And not worrying about dents and dings, or beating on your daily driver. It's actually relieving to drive this thing around
Dude, a little more respect to the world's most reliable car. Sad to see it's had a tough life 😢
This is bad ass! I had a beemer needed some bullshit every year! I got a 99 Camry and it’s been running like a tank the past 4 years! Ac super 🥶 oils change is the only thing I keep up with every 4 months
What model? An E90 was a nightmare for me but my uncles e21 has only been flat bedded once since the 80s and 300k miles. Technology has increased reliability hasn’t
Mine has 280k miles & still going strong. So strong that i just replaced the entire front & rear suspension & brakes
Can I install Bluetooth in this car ? Prolly not
Another car review awesome this kind of content is interesting to me
Petition to wide body and sticker bomb the Camry
I found a 1999 camry LE with 90k miles. Garage kept except some dings and scratches. It's clean and drives amazing. It has the 2.2 4cyl. I've been zooming around and still got half a tank. It's great. Old daily was 1994 obs 5.7L v8 ext cab.
I remember this car being brand new, a friend of mine used to pick me up and we went to college together. I recall that digital ODO looking so freaking cool. I thought that car was high class back then lol
Looking great man
Love these car videos
glad you do ! once i do some stuff to either one of my cars may have to make update videos
Jacob we def do be needing some car vlogs dude!
"quirks and features" someone has been watching doug demuro haha. sweet vid
Cruising down the street in my '99 . Gangsta Jacob . Ykwis
I got the same year and color lol
Other than the steering rack bushings, alignment, and the left rear strut, I fucking love it
Man i love that we have damn near the same car, i have an 03 camry black, with tha gold badgessss hahaha. Love that you mentioned that.
It would be nice to have a channel we can compare notes with and what we can do to preserve our car as long as we can from parts to who makes the best things for a car we can keep our car's alive as long as possible
Bro I literally saw a Cammry
(same gen as yours) yesterday. Literally a day after you uploaded the video about yours dying. And they are EXTREMLY rare here since they were made only made for the US matket meaning that the only ones I could see are imported ones.
These are extremely reliable if u take even the minimal care of it. It's a Toyota after all.
gotta love a good ol' toyota reliability ykwis
Can’t go wrong with a Camry. The beater car of choice for my family was a red Nissan versa 2006 it was nothing fancy but it got the job done and kept my sister safe during college but we got rid of it a couple years ago it broke down on us and was old and not worth fixing now my sister upgraded big time to a beater to a white 2021 Mazda 3 with black interior much better and more fun to drive hopefully it’ll be reliable and strong like the versa was. But beater cars still do hold a special place for me at times
Newer cars can't compete, sensors and soft aluminum engines means they have to be meticulously maintained or they'll die quick.
No way Jacob rocked in like that💀💀
This guy is too funny!
You explaining what you are going to do with the car at the beginning, sounded like Doug DeMuro
My 97 Camry had 331k miles and still running good as my daily commuter
90's Camry's can't be beat 💪
23:01 oh yes…me and my old Honda civic. Turning off the AC does help with horsepower. You need that every little bit of power to merge😭
this is almost exactly like my moms old dark green Chevy Geo Prizm. it was a very long lasting car.
Merry Christmas everyone
0:15 damn bro look at that air!!!
buy a $150 walmart bluetooth speaker and use that for music in the car, they got pretty decent subs and audio is plenty loud, looking for a beater just like this from 96 to 04 and either a corolla or camry, maybe even a honda.
You'll get another 100k out of it. I probably helped build that car since I was working in the factory at the time.
To small of a vehicle for me.
But if it goes it's good.
Interesting video
i have an 05 outback i bought for under 2k, a year later spent almost 3k on head gaskets, hoping she lasts me another 5 years or so
The crown Vic ur next queen I can see u in it already blasting boosie badassz smokin black n mild
A brilliant, elegant, and rugged piece of machinery
Struts or tie rod is very easy to change on those
He can easily do car reviews :D can't wait to see him smoking in the car !!:)
These cars can be absolutely clapped out but super reliable at the same time
drivers ed taught me abs warning light actually means problem with the electrical system.
bruh you got a new car every month i swear 😭
“It’s a car, I guess”
Oh yeah I remember my 1998 Honda Civic this way 😂. One day the thing started smoking in a Zaxbys drivethrough. Window lady asked “Is everything okay?” And I was like “Oh yeah, always does that.”
It did not “always do that”
I guess it depends on what year of a Toyota Camry. I bought a 96 used. With all the maintenance. It's a 5-speed manual. With 130 k. The last 23k lots of expensive repairs. I still had to put struts on it. I still feel like I got a decent deal. I'm sure glad I didn't buy when it had 110k
Love the Camry! That car is a fighter!
indeed indeed
fucking dope ride. reminds me of high school.
🗣️ I'm addicted to your Videos
Better than cigarettes lol
The only thing I can think is the fact that it’s almost 200k. Your transmission is on the edge, replace all fluids. Get your tranny fluid changed (not flushed).
Boo hoo
I am just selling my 1999 Toyota Corolla 4 door automatic - only 74K original miles on it! These cars are awesome dude - I hope you enjoy the hell out of it. Another cool vid.
74k son? What’s the tag and what state are you in
@@txsam2802 Yeah 74K. But its sold already.
@@jbombsmoker What did you sell it for? I bought mine for 4k with 88k miles on it.
Bought my 99 corolla from an estate, one owner, 120k for 2,000. Put 20k on it, hoping to push it to a milli 💪🏻

I think you can establish your own car company though
Those cars are bulletproof little maintenance good on gas
Those things last forever lmfao. Me and my friend slammed his camry and now it's super low and slow 😂

What do you mean slammed?
171,000 mi on my 96 v6. Really nice shape and runs like a clock
sick car
Give me that car now dammit that's my car
Do a vid where u set your cam on the dashboard and you smoke and drive
Gorgeous
A Toyota build it that year are better then the new car parts they make now
You got yourself a stronge car
this Camry will last longer then anyone in the comments , such a good car
I had the model before - the super ugly wagon.
Blew it up towing a trailer up a very steep hill.
2.2 auto, and I think it dropped a piston.
With the oil light on, I kept driving it for 2 weeks, and traded it for twice what I paid.
On a Mazda Tribute 3.0.
It was fast but hungry.
No rust, as evidenced by my having to be cut out of it by Emergency Services after hitting a bank at 60+. The lights went out.
RIP, faithful old cars.
Hello Jacob
This thing is as reliable as reliable can get - the pinacle of I4 engines. This and the 98 Corolla just keep chugging along. The oil seal on these cars goes and I basically ran mine bone dry for 3 days without issue. Ran on a bad power steering pump for 2 weeks, etc. If a part does go out it's usually because of rust and they will keep chugging along until you can get it fixed. The only issue is these things are so low to the ground they rust out easily in NE winters.
Can I install Bluetooth in this car ?
@@Jzio3 Yeah it supports a dual DIN deck. I have a Pioneer in mine.
@@brianpacheco1927 is that the only way you can use Bluetooth in it ?
If so how much is it
@@Jzio3 No you can get one of those FM Bluetooth converters and tune it to the station it's set to but this works better.
The spot where the hitch broke the Styrofoam irks my OCD.
Hi!
I Have Black 1999 Automatic Camry 2.2L Ce Imported From Canada. It's A Great Car! It Has 336500 Km. On It And It Runs Well. Some Consumable Parts Has Changed In Six Years I've Had It. I Have Had Two 1987 Ones Silver And Blue One And 1997 Golden One. I See Green, Red And Golden One's Every Now And Then European And American Models But Black One's Are Pretty Rare Here In Finland.
Here's A TIP:
If Timing Belt Breaks This 5S-FE Motor Model Don't Break Valves Or Anything!! 🙂
I Didn't Know That When My Golden Camry's Belt Broke And I Took It To Junk Yard For No Reason! 🙁 I Could Just Changed Belt And Stuff And Kept Driving! 🤔
SLAM IT

Smoking cinnamon stick please
No complains on his behalf 24:35
Fuck i miss my old camry, wrapped that shit around a tree doing stupid shit in it, car still started and drove after it(on an angle lol) i fucked it up, absolute tank of a car
