Oh man! The mangos were AWESOME again this year! I just ate one today. Florida has the best mangos. My neighbor in sub has a BIG tree and best mangos I ever ate! I saved the seeds and I planted them in pots. I’m going to graft them with the original tree. I’m not a huge fruit person. But, MANGOS...oh my! Best ever!
Those mangoes of every variety were pretty solid green and you were so right to say that maybe 1/2 of them will not ripen properly…..and they ain’t cheap.
I had my first ripe sugarloaf today from a friends Tree. it was amazing. maybe the best mango I ever had besides my lemon meringue
Oh that was Philipe Castro behind you @1:48 ...lol..... you need to visit his yard one day. He loves dense planting of fruit Trees
Yes it was his. I want to visit his yard.
I had is # but can't find it, do you have it?
Green mangoes will ripen properly if they are full. If you pick them young, they differently wouldn't ripen.
Once i drove all the way from Miami to Excalibur to buy a Jackfruit tree, when i got there they told they're not selling any jackfruit trees... I was like, what? Why??? He said they are propagating them. I said, you can't even sell one?? I just drove 1 hour and 30 mins because I know you guys have everything here! He said maybe if you're buying a large tree like a 15 gallon? I said yes that's what i want... He then spoke with the lady (one of the owners) and they decided they didn't want to sell any.... Wasted trip. Bad experience for me.
I totally sympathize with your horrible experience but what I’ve learned from the same is that before heading up for a 1 hour and 20 minutes drive up you have to call and ask if they have such and such variety in the size you want. Or call and ask for an availability list if you are looking to buy many items.
Last time I went to Excaliber from Miami I was going to buy a bunch of blueberry bushes and I did call Excaliber first. Lastly you can always offer to pay double for what you want and that greatly increases the chances they’ll sell it.
@@weiss613 Yes, agreed. I should have called before going. However, i did check the website and saw they had countless varieties listed. I never imagined that none of them would be for sale... Anyway lesson learned.
whats is biggest mango comunity
