The Hollis ST22 is a great option for divers who travel to warm waters for their diving. It is a true travel wing, packing down to next to nothing. James took the ST22 to Honduras for testing. If you're looking for a small, stable wing for single cylinder diving, this is a great option!
    Thanks for watching!

Great review! I have 80+ southern California cold water dives on this wing, many of them at 33+ meters deep in a full 7mm XLT size wetsuit and XL 5mm hooded vest. I find 22lbs of lift to be sufficient buoyancy compensation because, my weighting is accurate. I appreciate your brief nod to this possibility here.

I'm a huge Hollis fan. Got their LX60lbs wing for double cylinders with their aluminum and harness backplate, dc7 din regulator with 500se 2nd stage and and dcx din regulator with 200LX 2nd stage for doubles, and their f2 fins. Trying to get ready for my advance nitrox and deco procedures course and the equipment works flawlessly for everything as far as practicing my skills underwater and regulators breathe very nicely almost allows a diver to breathe naturally as if they are still on land.

Thanks for the solid review. Like what I’m seeing, especially the tapered top. I typically trim out with a pair of twos at the top to keep me in trim. This might let me avoid the pockets and keep all my lead together.

Can you share what you didn’t like about the harness system please? Is it because you’re a tech guy and prefer to reduce failure points to a minimum?

While I tend to dive with my Halcyon stuff more these days (Doubles wings), my Hollis wing serves me well on single tank jaunts. In fact, I'm going oyster diving this weekend Chesapeake - I'm taking her out...

I’ve always ended up buying hollis after trials. Backplate, harness, sidemount BC, semi dry, fins….dive rite and DGX are the exceptions. I was lucky enough to get a free dry-suit to learn on….care to take a guess at what suit I want when my whites brand suit finally gives?

Great video as always. I am trading my Zeagle Stiletto for the Hollis ST22. Only dive warm water and this wing is light and tidy. Can't afford a Halcyon and the Hollis LTS is too heavy and similar to my Z Stiletto.

Great video! I’m in the hunt for my first wing. I dive with an OTS Guardian, so maybe this will help counter that added top buoyancy. And, living in central Virginia (3.5 hours from the coast), all my saltwater diving is travel. Of course, I can use this BCD in a nearby freshwater scuba park. Thanks!

Awesome video! Subscribed ✅ I’m a fellow YT Influencer - Anabolic Doc. Strong work ! I have a question- I’m a new diver and my training instructor, who is an awesome instructor and diver, set me up with the Hollis ST 22. It’s been working great for me, however I’ve had 2 experienced divers on the boats I’ve been on say that my rig is wrong for me. That the ST 22 isn’t powerful enough for me, (5’9” 195 lbs) if I dive deep- like 100 + feet. It will not have enough lift down there to get me up. So far, I’ve taken it to about 70 feet and a lot of dives to 25 feet and haven’t had a problem. Do I switch out my ST 22 rig for the ST 35? I do want to dive deeper then what I’m doing now. I do get the travel, light/tight gear thing though.

Non-diving reviews of dive gear aren't reviews, but instead should be labeled as complete wastes of time. That wasn't an opinion but a fact. Now IMO if a reviewer doesn't have at least a couple of dozen dives they are just scratching the surface, as IME it takes a few dives before I get annoyed with something or used to something that annoyed me initially.
