After collecting my thoughts I looked out from under the table and both my parents were just standing there shaking along with the earth flipping through the tv channels seeing how bad it is and then laughing saying that it’s only a 3.5 mag earthquake 😂
Lol 😂😂😂😂 that's adorable. Your parents are a good example for you. I imagine it's like that for a little kids in Japan as well they probably get really scared but they see their parents not caring and as they get older they don't care either. Every time I've had a earthquake that I felt and it's very few and far between this is in New Jersey Pennsylvania area I've always just sat there going wow this is an earthquake and then I wonder how strong it is going to be lol. In this area it's really not going to be big if there's an earthquake so I personally don't find a worry in it but I know a lot of people panic for sure.

That is correct. I am Japanese and currently living in Tokyo. In today's terms, I am over 13 years old. Having experienced the magnitude 9.0 earthquake in March 2011, and with the recent frequent occurrence of magnitude 4-5 earthquakes, especially in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japanese people are not that concerned. In other words, they often do not notice when the magnitude is below 3. (Or perhaps Japan just has too many earthquakes. ......) Well, after all, Japanese buildings will not collapse unless an earthquake of magnitude 9.5 or greater occurs. Even the huge Nankai Trough earthquake, which is predicted to be the largest ever, is 9.1.
People in the US who are actually from the areas with earthquakes don't either. Only outsiders experiencing an earthquake for the first time do. I find it hilarious when people on the east coast are like "yeah I can deal with hurricanes but earthquakes terrify me." Hurricanes last for days and can leave you without power and flood your house. @@eric1107 that’s not true at all there has been many many many earthquakes on the east side and I’m also mainly talking about where the fault is
@@Random_capcut_edits I know there’s a small town that gets them all the time in the east but that town is in the middle of no where far from city’s like nyc Chicago and more
And I know nyc can get them but like once ever few decades and when it does happen they are so small that no human can feel them only machines will detect them
I thought someone was shaking my table I’m like why is everything shaking when I check the news it was an earthquake but there is like an earthquake every month😂😂😂
The first one got me laughing😂😂
Depends on where you live really. Anyone in Southern California probably won't react if it's below 5 😂
lmfao I live in Northern California so the only thing I’m worried about is my house falling down, especially when the Cascadia Megaquake hits ☠️
I lived in southern California right on top of three fault lines. Earthquakes happened all the time and my family thought nothing of them.
I want to be in Japan cause if they be that calm during earthquakes, that is just the place I want to be
As someone from Puerto Rico we don’t care about earthquakes 😂 unless is level 4 and up 😁
Uhmmm I mean it's not all the time bc when an earthquake happens I don't panic😅
Growing up in Japan by high school, you can sleep through a 6.0 😂
EXACTLY LOL. Earthquake was a natural occurrence for me growing up. I never knew people feared earthquakes til I came to the States
