i wonder what running out of time represents? Losing Energy? Getting killed by a demon, Peach dying and mario sacrificing. Running out of breath? (In underwater levels)? Shadow Mario getting flagpole first making mario sacrifice?
Ill never understand the lore behind a death timer in any game but I mean you can't just spend an hour there though. Sometimes the timer doesn't count actual seconds though.
I really hate games with timers. I would love to play a Mario game without one. I once theorize why there is even a need for a timer, likely because I thought it would mean Bowser had killed Peach.
