You may like this video about fixing your kote for stronger Kendo. ruclips.net/video/r414tieiFEE/видео.html I hope this year brings you much success on achieving your kendo goals.
My goals this year are simple. Firstly, I want to learn proper distancing. Then, I want to learn “explosive” Kendo, so that my strikes may just seem like they come without any kind of big preparation. That’s basically it.
I think distance was one of my biggest struggles after the pandemic break, What helped me was to be mindful of aiming with the tip of my sword! I can talk about in one of my streams if you would like just remind me when you pass by one of my streams! Thank you for sharing too
Please keep me updated on your Godan, Do your best, in my opinion training to make things happen more naturally is a good goal to have to make it there.
Kendo Goals for 2023: Keep steadily improving. Be ready to test for Shodan by the end of the year. And do a halfway decent Doh strike { by far my weakest waza).
Nice, Doh can be tricky I will try to make a video soon. You have great goals. I don't know if you are aware there is a testing guide in the Discord server on what you need to pass Shodan.
I keep things simple. My Kendo goals for this year is to be more consistent in my training and to attempt shodan grading. It would be nice to enter a tournament as well!
My goals are to pass 1st kyu(hopeful also shodan at the end of this year/early next year), work on my timing, fumikomi and fumikiri, do strike, not hesitating during jigeiko, and just over all trying to improve. I’m really looking forward to see how the year’s gonna go.
Sorry it took me this long to reply! And thank you for your support. Your goal is very good and I believe it will help you build up stronger Kendo so all I can say is don’t be afraid or care to get hit (unless is shiai hahaha) and try to learn from every exchange weather you fail or succeed.
I'll be uploading a footwork video soon and you can check some of the videos I already posted and I hope it can help. Unfortunately nothing beats practice My advice is pick something specific on your footwork that you want to fix and go one at a time! Thank you for watching my video by the way!
@@Kendotips Thank you for all your content and effort! It already has helped me a lot. My personal goal for the next couple of months is to engage my left foot more and to keep it locked as much as possible. If that's going in the right direction the rest will follow I hope 😅😅
Yes my left foot was my main goal of 2022 but now i'm thinking on switching my focus to my front leg. I always say that concentrating on footwork is always a good thing for developing strong kendo!
