There’s a reason the History Channel has produced hundreds of documentaries about Hitler but only a few about Dwight D. Eisenhower. Bad guys (and gals) are eternally fascinating. Behind the Bastards dives in past the Cliffs Notes of the worst humans in history and exposes the bizarre realities of their lives. Listeners will learn about the young adult novels that helped Hitler form his monstrous ideology, the founder of Blackwater’s insane quest to build his own Air Force, the bizarre lives of the sons and daughters of dictators and Saddam Hussein’s side career as a trashy romance novelist.

Fun fact: when Roger Stone says “When I hear the word ‘culture,’ I reach for my revolver”, he's LITERALLY quoting Nazis. The quote comes from Schlageter, a play by Nazi philosopher and playright Hanns Johst, and was also apparently uttered by Goebbels, Himmler and Goering, who were all fans of the play.
I’m in favor of bringing back the term “moral imbecile” to describe sociopaths like Stone and Manafort. I think too many people won’t give them with the derision they deserve because of the mirage that they somehow process some knowledge or intelligence beyond which healthy people can conceive. In fact they are simply fools who are unencumbered by the complex considerations needed to take responsible actions.
My dad worked at a cardboard box factory that Roger bought. I wish I could say he was a good boss, he wasn't. Everything he could do to nickel and dime the workers he did. Such as removing production bonuses.
Fun fact: mike lindel worked there too. Crazy bastard even then.
stone comes off like a massive narcissist, but one that gets his rocks off from people viewing him as the lying snake that he is because it validates the self image of a slick trickster, and the delusion that he’s an influential person.
The problem is that he has been pretty influential. He is a narcissistic lying snake who had the ear of half the Presidents in the last 50 years. His main delusion is that his ideas are any good.
It has been my experience that the people who claim Libertarian are usually the craziest.
That's my experience too. The craziest right-wingers I meet on the Internet claim to be libertarians.
Libertarianism is basically just an excuse to be a selfish pos
Roger has never denied that he keeps several pigs for sexual gratification.
What the hell is an “intellectual conservative”?
A con artist.
